Virgin America Ditches Flash by Lack Of iPhone Support

Apple’s feud with Adobe is fast becoming one of the more prominent issues, so you can fully expect to see Apple smiling from ear to ear by the latest news that Virgin America has dumped Flash on its website due to the lack of iPhone support. The new website, which was launched on Monday, will be replacing Flash with HTML in order to allow customers to check in via their iPhones, not to mention that it’s planning on moving the site to HTML5, once the standards have been ratified with the World Wide
Web Consortium. Will the dismissal of Flash help Virgin America in the faraway run due to (possible) increased web traffic? It’s hard to tell right now, but hopefully there will be a positive impact for everybody. Do you think that Apple or Adobe will emerge the victor in that enlarged running saga?Permalink: Virgin America Ditches Flash by Lack Of iPhone Support from Ubergizmo | RSS Sponsor: Win a Fellowes Microshred Paper Shredder!
