Optoma’s PK-201 pico projector has started to ship with a list price of $299, although it was already up for pre-order since January last year. Inside, you will find that it features Texas Insturment’s new WVGA (854 x 480 resolution) DLP chipset, where it boasts 20 lumens of brightness alongside USB, VGA, HDMI and A/V ports for further connectivity. You will definitely need to purchase a microSD memory card to go along with it, since the 30MB of internal memory is certainly not suitable for everyday use.

Archos has rolled out its 7 and 8 Home Tablets that emphasize more on being easy on your pockets and targeting home use instead of being a fully fledged Mobile Net Device. Despite their intended operate, they aren’t gimped in any way with a 600MHz ARM9-based Rockchip 2808 processor running on the Android operating system, carrying 128MB RAM, Wi-Fi and USB connectivity, a microSD memory card slot and integrated speakers. The Archos 7 Home Tablet carries a 7″ WVGA touchscreen display with a 7 hours of video playback, where you can choose from 2GB and 8GB models for €149 and €179, respectively. As for the Archos 8 Home Tablet that you see above, it shares many specifications as with the Archos 7, although you get a larger 8″ touchscreen display and a spacious bezel.

Vodafone UK ought to get itself a new set of subscribers pretty soon, where most of them would probably be hankering after the Sony Ericsson X10. that is their first Android smartphone, where it will roll out with Android 1.6 (Donut) while being accompanied by a generous 4.0″ WVGA (480×854) scratch-resistant capacitive screen, a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, a 8.1-megapixel camera, and support for a slew of typical Android Google Mobile apps. Expect that handset to hit the market later that April, pricing details have yet to be revealed but we hope to get some skinny on that matter in due instance.

There is a new mobile Web device in town – the MID500 from Inkia. that device will come with some pretty standard specifications including an Intel Atom Z510 1.1GHz processor, a 5″ WVGA 800 × 480 resolution touchscreen display, 1GB RAM, a 16GB SSD, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, a VGA camera, a microSD memory card reader and a couple of USB ports. Tipping the scales at 350 grams, that puppy can run on either Windows XP or Windows 7, where we’re certain the former will be much zippier. The 1850mAh Li-Ion battery is touted to last for up to 3 full hours, but it remains to be seen whether that includes having all the other options turned on. Interestingly sufficient, the Inkia MID500 is competitively priced at around $370.
