Xderia X2 cellphone clones the obvious

Xderia X2 cellphone clones the obvious

The Xderia X2 cellphone is a shamless clone of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X2, featuring a similar sliding mechanism as the original as well as 3" display, although it does not run on Windows Mobile (which isn't necessarily a poor thing, but of course clone manufacturers' operating system interfaces are far worse). You get a WQVGA display which is a lower resolution compared to the Xperia X2's WVGA, while other features include an integrated FM radio, quadband GSM support, a dual SIM carriage and a built-in digital camera - don't be fooled by the 12.1MP label behind!

Inkia MID500 rolls out

There is a new mobile Web device in town - the MID500 from Inkia. that device will come with some pretty standard specifications including an Intel Atom Z510 1.1GHz processor, a 5" WVGA 800 × 480 resolution touchscreen display, 1GB RAM, a 16GB SSD, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, a VGA camera, a microSD memory card reader and a couple of USB ports. Tipping the scales at 350 grams, that puppy can run on either Windows XP or Windows 7, where we're certain the former will be much zippier. The 1850mAh Li-Ion battery is touted to last for up to 3 full hours, but it remains to be seen whether that includes having all the other options turned on. Interestingly sufficient, the Inkia MID500 is competitively priced at around $370.
