Hmmm, we wonder what Nintendo and Apple has to say about that – Super Mario Bros is running on the iPad using SNES4iphone, and at double the display size, it comes with a very different control scheme instead of touch – it uses movement, paying homage to Nintendo by hooking up a hacked Wiimote to the iPad via Bluetooth connectivity. Need we remind you about the legality of ROMs, particularly when it comes to Nintendo who are extremely specific?

This has been such a towering moment coming that it’s not even funny anymore. Word is going around that major retailers such as Target, GameStop and Future Shop have stated that the black version of the Nintendo Wii will be going on sale on May 9th in the US, with the Canadian release set for May 23rd. The console itself is identical to the current white version, but the bundle will include a Wiimote, Wii Sports, Wii Sports Resortland and Wii MotionPlus upgrade. The price is speculated to be at $199. It’s worth noting that the lucky folks by in Japan have had the black version of the Nintendo Wii since last year.

While it’s hard to imagine how you would want to use it on a daily basis, the Fly Mouse from Shenzhen Feishu Technology is still rather interesting. that is a wireless keyboard and mouse combo designed to be used with home theater PCs. It offers a full QWERTY keyboard complete with direction keys and multimedia buttons. Instead of having to use a trackpad to control the on-screen cursor, you can use the built-in accelerometer of the Fly Mouse to control the mouse like using a Wiimote. The 2.4GHz RF signal allows you a wireless range of up to 32 feet, and it will set you back $50.

While you may not have as much details on Microsoft’s Project Natal as you might like, we have managed to dig up one of the games’ titles that should be supporting Project Natal, and that is “River Rush”. Holywood writer James Gunn managed to get some date to try out the game, and detailed his experience on his blog. As the name indicates, the game is a kind of paddling game that involves a river raft and you jumping into the air. Sounds like good exercise, and we’re certainly looking forward to getting more knowledge about Project Natal. Who do you think will be the victor in the end? The Wiimote, the PlayStation Move, or Project Natal? Hopefully it’s the consumer.

The Glove Mouse is the brainchild of Tony Hyun Kim and Nevada Sanchez at MIT, where it is now upgraded with wireless capability so that you won’t need to remain tethered to your machine any more. Each of these gloves come with an LED located on the back of the index finger, where it can be picked up by a low-res webcam in order for it to operate as a cursor, while buttons located under the index and middle fingers can be activated by the thumb. For those who are more familiar with gaming, that is somewhat like a cross within the Wiimote and Peregrine. You won’t see that hit the mainstream market anytime soon though, so don’t keep your hopes up.
