The card supports DirectX 11, full 1080p video playback, D-Sub, DVI and HDMI video outputs. The Radeon HD 5550 will be available in stores by the next few weeks, though pricing hasn’t been announced yet.

This is still far from an official confirmation, but reports are coming in that the upcoming iPhone 4G could be powered by Apple’s A4 processor, which is the same processor used by the iPad. Considering the comfortable way the A4 processor is able to handle the iPad, it wouldn’t be too much of a surprise whether Apple did decide to use its homegrown A4 chip. Said chip is a modified, system-on-chip (SoC) design, based on ARM’s Cortex-A8. Taking into detail that the A4 is able to churn out 720p video playback, there’s a high possibility that the iPhone 4G will be able to churn out HD video. Sounds good, doesn’t it?

Despite Intel’s Atom processor enjoying much of the success in the netbook market, let’s not forget that AMD is plus still in the game, and word is going around the Acer is gearing up to launch a new 10.1-inch netbook that uses AMD’s 1.2GHz V105 individual core processor. It’s still not official yet, but the AMD-powered Aspire One 521 will reportedly be using an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4225 graphics chip, paired with the AMD M880G chipset, hinting at the possibility of that netbook being able to handle HD video playback. The netbook should plus offer optional Bluetooth 3 support, a compact charger and a battery that should be able to last up to 7-hours (depending on usage, of course). There isn’t any word on when the Acer Aspire One 521 will be launched, or at what price point, but we’ll keep an eye on that.

Check out yet another iPad clone to hit the scene, that day round “thanks” to yet another China manufacturer. Powered by an Android operating system, that 7″ display comes with 800 x 480 resolution and measures a pretty svelte 14mm in terms of thickness, while tipping the scales at 320 grams. It is capable of 720p video playback, but don’t expect it to handle 1080p videos. The Rockchip RK2808 chipset is an obvious giveaway thanks to the Rockchip sticker located at the bottom, letting us know that it has a fully capable chipset when it comes to handling multimedia playback. Too poor we do not have knowledge on pricing or availability as at press moment.
