Folks living in the UK will be able to keep themselves fit and trim thanks to the new Power Plate pro6 which comes in the structure of a vibrating body shaper. It will merge cable-resistance and vibration training with a new, proprietary, technology known as proMOTION, where it comprises of a couple of high strength Vectran cables that are capable of transferring up to 80% of vibrations at high-speed frequency rates straight to the muscles of the arms, back, core and shoulders. Would you cough out GBP1,500 for that? There is no price tag on good health actually when you think about it.

Cooler Master has just rolled out its Vortex Plus low profile processor cooler that comes with a quartet of 6mm direct contact heat-pipes for maximum heat conductivity. Apart from its relatively small size, the Vortex Plus additionally comes with a Blade Master 92mm balanced PWM fan that is capable of hitting a mere 17dBA at 800 rpm, but you plus have the chance of cranking it up all the way to 2800 rpm whether called for. The fan itself is equipped with a set of anti-vibration rubber pads which will reduce vibrations when caused by dust buildup on the fan blades. The Vortex Plus plus sports a minimum of four 6mm direct contact heat-pipes that maximizes heat conductivity, helping heat to be disspiated quickly by the thin blade aluminium fin heatsink.

The electricity generated is plus capable of powering a waterproof touchscreen controller that counts the number of minutes that you’ve been in the shower and the amount of water used.

Looks like Apple intends to get a little more serious about gaming, as the fruity company has submitted a patent on a device that’s related to gaming. From the patent it’s known that the device can be used as an external gaming device and might have several accessories. Variations of said accessory might include a camera, vibration add-on, microphone, and an accelerometer. The design additionally shows an accessory that will give a portable touchscreen device some external gaming controls, much like those gamepad accessories that show up from day to day for your iPhone. It’ll be interesting to see whether Apple wants to take on lengthy date gaming giants such as Nintento and Sony in the gaming scene. Do you think Apple will want to come up with a committed gaming machine, or turn it’s iPhone/iPad into one?

Patent filing.

Trying to generate energy from wind in a small device is never going to be easy as it’s rather difficult to get suitable wind flowing through a small device to generate significant ability. Now it seems that a company called Humdinger Wind Energy LLC has come up with a device dubbed the microBelt which can do just that. The microBelt is a piezoelectric turbine-based system that is touted as being 10 times more effective at gathering energy than other systems of similar size. that is achieved by using the aeroelastic flutter and vibration of a membrane, rather than a spinning turbine. that setup is intended to replace the batteries used in wireless sendor networks, and can be used in applications such as HVAC (heating, ventilating and air-conditioning) systems, using the airflow to ability the device, rather than expansive batteries. The added benefit of that system is that since it doesn’t utilize spinning turbines, it’s expected to last longer, with an estimated lifespan stretching to 20 years.

The news of Nintendo’s upcoming 3DS console is probably still fresh and your mind, but we’ve got a little something additional to add-on to it that afternoon. It seems that the 3D feature on the 3DS might be achieved by using a parallax barrier LCD from Sharp. Such technology would certainly allow users to experience the 3D feel on the console without having to wear a pair of dorky glasses. Word is that the 3DS’s display will be less than 4-inches diagonally, making it similar to that of the DSi. Aside from that, it seems that there will plus be 3D control sticks, though it’s unclear whether that refers to an analog joystick. Other rumored features of the 3DS include Wi-Fi transfers, better battery life as well as a vibration operate. How many of these features will be confirmed in the next few weeks? It’s hard to tell; hopefully we’ll have some cool news regarding that upcoming device soon.
