At towering last, it looks as though USB Mass Storage Device Support for the Xbox 360 will be a reality according to a document that was authored by a senior software development engineer at Microsoft. that document mentioned that due to “increased market penetration of high-capacity, high throughput USB mass storage devices, a 2010 Xbox 360 system update” is imminent, enabling consumers to save and load game details from USB devices in a jiffy. We will keep a keen eye out for that one as spring rolls around.

Most USB drives are enclosed in a boring plastic (or rubber) case and that’s pretty much up, but that concept USB drive has a nice silver finish, and plus sports a small display at the end of the device, showing you useful info, such as the drive’s capacity, percentage used and even remaining space. You can customize the info displayed on the device via a menu when the device is turned on. Would you want such a USB drive, or do you think the cost of manufacturers coming up with something like that would be too high to be feasible?

[CES 2010] Iomega rolls out its latest pocket-friendly NAS device to the masses, known as the iConnect Wireless documents Station. that simple method of introducing your entire USB storage into a network enables you to connect, share and access files anywhere, even by the World Wide Web. Debuting at CES 2010, the iConnect Wireless documents Station does not have any onboard storage (hence the relatively svelte size), although it does enable users to hook up to a router (wired or wireless) in order to share subject matter off four USB devices (hard drives or USB flash drives) automatically. that makes it a snap to share input, as it additionally works from any networked Windows PC, Mac or Linux workstation. The Iomega iConnect Wireless input Station will be released worldwide later that January for $99.99, where each purchase comes with a three-year warranty.
