Check out the Monami docking station that holds a 2TB external hard drive as its primary storage medium, accompanied by USB hub functionality and a quartet of USB ports, where three of those are kept well hidden from view, while one of them is mounted on top. The top port will play nice with the accompanying 16GB USB flash drive, while a downfiring USB speaker further extends the audio range of your computer’s speakers, regardless of whether they are from the PC or Mac camps. Do you have an itching for that concept to be realized?

Who knows how many billion types of USB hubs there are in the market, but you have to confess that that Chicken Burger USB Hub does stand out a little different from the rest, obviously due to its resemblance to a tasty chicken burger. It’s a 4-port USB 2.0 hub made of polyresin, and from the looks of it, offers a removable bun. It’ll set you back $19, but that’s the price of having a different USB hub from everybody else, right?

Bored of the usual star-shaped USB hubs that you see on the market? perhaps the top Cylindrus top hot USB hub might interest you. It might not turn you into a master magician, but it might give your friends the impression that you’re well on your way to pulling rabbits out of your hat. It offers you 8 additional USB ports, which should be suitable to keep most society going, though whether you’ve a nice collection of flash drives, you’ll probably need a few of these.

Do you think that chorded keyboards (or keysets), are one-handed input devices that allow folks to type characters with key combinations, are ugly and boring? Well, designer Erik Campbell decided to refresh the chorded keyboard’s design, and looked to a jellyfish for inspiration, and came up with the design above. It might look like a classy USB hub at a glance, but rest assured, you’re still able to update your Facebook status with that.

One of the most common problems with computers today is the lack of USB ports. Well, there are probably a billion different USB hubs in the market today, but the USB Super 16 Port Hub stands out from the pack, not just considering of its 16 USB ports, but plus due to its $160 price tag. When you do the math, that’s roughly $10 per USB port. To further justify the price, there’s additionally a physical switch on the hub, allowing you to connect two computers to it at the same instance, and switch within them. Would you shell out $160 for that USB hub, or would you take the $160 and buy a bunch of cheap USB hubs instead?

Check out that Dell Mini 10v that has been hacked to include a touchscreen display instead of the regular one, giving you access to its icons with but a one tap instead of double clicking. Using an $85 kit from Hoda, it is unlucky that none of the cables packaged with the display would work with the Mini 10v’s innards, so it mandatory some tinkering on Weathejx’s part to get it working thanks to reassembled parts from a USB hub. It took a few attempts of reassembling the Mini 10v before it could get going. Definitely not for the faint hearted!

Wacom announces its maiden entry into the full HD interactive pen display market with the DTU-2231. Capable of achieving direct pen-on-screen input, the DTU-2231 was specially designed to optimize efficiency and productivity, targeting folks like geophysicists, oil & gas experts, planners, engineers, cartographers and emergency responders to quickly and easily create original composition, where among other capabilities include map editing alongside the management, analysis and sharing of geographic data. Definitely not meant for folks who love doodling digitally in the comfort of their living room. Hardware specifications include a 21.5″ widescreen LCD display at 1,920 x 1,080 resolution, a cordless, battery-free pen with 512 levels of pressure sensitivity, an integrated USB hub, DVI-I (digital or analog) input, DVI-I output and video scaler. Expect the Wacom DTU-2231 to cost you a fair bit at $1,899 a pop when it arrives that Spring.
Want to spice up your work area with a useful piece of USB gear? You can’t go too far off tangent with the USB Train Hub, where it comes in the design factor of a much shorter high-speed bullet train, featuring an LED indicator light located on top of the hub. What you see here is the steam train model, although that one doesn’t spew out any steam for an added touch of authenticity. Why not assemble that USB accessory purchase your next stop?
