The SyncBox that you see here lets you transfer notes from an USB device to another without the need for a computer to operate as a middleman, for example sending photos from your camera by to a USB flash drive. Powered by a trio of AAA batteries, it retails for €31.90. Heck, it even supports full disk copy and designated folder copy for added flexibility, and taking just a separate button to operate, you can’t get any more idiot proof than that.

This is still a rumor at that point, but many folks are speculating that the iPad Camera Connection Kit might be able to allow USB audio output, since it’s offering you a USB port anyways. whether that’s true, it would be rather interesting, as you might even be able to hook up some useful devices to the iPad. Another possible use would be whether you were able to charge your USB devices from it, such as your Mifi. Of course, that sounds a little bit like wishful thinking, but when you take into explanation a Mifi has about 4-6 hours of battery life and the iPad has 10 hours, sharing might actually be caring, wouldn’t you think?

What makes the PhotoFast GM3000EX add a whole lot of value to your notebook would be the integration of the USB 3.0 port into the ExpressCard itself, thanks to a hidden Type A female connector which when inserted, will keep the USB interface well hidden within the notebook. Of course, there is a drawback to that method which would be having the card limit access to just one device, which isn’t too poor at the moment since USB 3.0 devices have yet to build their mark on a big scale.

At towering last, it looks as though USB Mass Storage Device Support for the Xbox 360 will be a reality according to a document that was authored by a senior software development engineer at Microsoft. that document mentioned that due to “increased market penetration of high-capacity, high throughput USB mass storage devices, a 2010 Xbox 360 system update” is imminent, enabling consumers to save and load game details from USB devices in a jiffy. We will keep a keen eye out for that one as spring rolls around.

How would you like to be able to hook up a USB printer, or USB flash drive to your Motorola Droid? That’s not possible just yet, but thanks to a couple of folks who were fiddling with the Motorola Droid, it might be possible in the future. With Android being able to offer USB Host mode, a Motorola Droid was modified (with a bit of engineering and technical magic) to be able to hook up to various USB devices. Unfortunately Android currently doesn’t offer drivers for USB peripherals, so you wouldn’t be able to get even a USB flash drive to work just yet, but it’s a start. whether that development goes well, possibly we’ll be able to plug your flash drives directly to our phones in the future, or print directly via cable from our phone to the USB printer. whether you want the nitty gritty and some pictures on that mod, check it out.
