Bluetooth speakerphones aren't terribly exciting, but the novero TheTalkyOne offers something different since it comes in a slim and minimally-designed design factor as far as Bluetooth speakerphones are concerned, making it ideal in many situations, ranging from in a vehicle to the home or office. The single-touch illuminated button lets you manage incoming/outgoing calls in a jiffy alongside music playback. Other features include text-to-speech functionality, multipoint technology, noise reduction, echo cancellation, an integrated DSP, USB connectivity and up to 180 hours of standby moment. Expect the novero TheTalkyOne to retail for $139 a pop.

Sony reveals new headsets

Sony has quietly rolled out a new range of headsets which are not only stylish but appealing as well, where they comprise of the DR-350USB, DR-320DPV and DR-310DPV models. All three will hit the Asia Pacific market sometime that month, with the DR-350USB as seen on the right leading the pack. that is Sony’s new high end USB PC headset, where it will come in black, gold and red colors, sporting a 30mm driver unit in the headset, an integrated microphone and a detachable “voice tube”. As for the DR-320DPV, that model lacks USB connectivity and targets gamers and music lovers. Last but not least would be the DR-310DPV which ought to appeal to the young and trendy, with its microphone stored within the headset itself while boasting separate volume control and mute buttons.

Archos 7 and Archos 8 Home Tablets

Archos has rolled out its 7 and 8 Home Tablets that emphasize more on being easy on your pockets and targeting home use instead of being a fully fledged Mobile Net Device. Despite their intended operate, they aren't gimped in any way with a 600MHz ARM9-based Rockchip 2808 processor running on the Android operating system, carrying 128MB RAM, Wi-Fi and USB connectivity, a microSD memory card slot and integrated speakers. The Archos 7 Home Tablet carries a 7" WVGA touchscreen display with a 7 hours of video playback, where you can choose from 2GB and 8GB models for €149 and €179, respectively. As for the Archos 8 Home Tablet that you see above, it shares many specifications as with the Archos 7, although you get a larger 8" touchscreen display and a spacious bezel.

i-tab electronic songbook

Not too certain what took so enlarged for an electronic songbook to be invented despite having the proper technology to do so after all that while - we're talking about the i-tab which comes with a 5" touchscreen display which is capable of displaying and scrolling through chords and lyrics in perfect synchronization as you play, functioning as a sort of musical teleprompter for guitar players. Equipped with 4GB of internal storage space, it ought to prove sufficient to tote around thousands of tabs which can be purchased and downloaded off i-tab online Tab Store. There are now 5,000 tabs available, with another 500 or so being added to that number weekly. Other specifications of the i-tab electronic songbook includes a built-in speaker, a headphone port, USB connectivity, a stylus and video out. Expect to pick one up that April for $199.

Asus Eee Pad plans revealed

Asus' Corporate Vice President, Eric Chen, recently shared news concerning the future plans of their affordable, touchscreen, 3G-connected tablet which will have an Nvidia Tegra 2 chipset within. Known as the Eee Pad that is still under development, we can be pretty certain that that will trump the iPad in many ways, where Flash support, multi-tasking and native USB connectivity should come as a standard. It might not be as thin, but Asus certainly has the expertise in keeping things lightweight through their experience in the Eee PC line by the years, not to mention a much longer battery life which has been a staple feature in Eee PCs for quite some day already to rival the iPad's purported 10-hour lifespan per charge.

CES isn't the only place where ebook readers were unveiled and paraded, China additionally wants to get on the bandwagon as well with its new Hanvon N618 ebook reader from the WISEreader line. Featuring a 6" Vizplex e-paper display, you get Wi-Fi connectivity, a 3.5mm headphone jack, USB connectivity, 320MB of internal memory and an SD memory card slot. Expect the Hanvon to cater for TXT, HTXT, HTML, PDF, DOC, XLS ebooks, JPG, PNG, BMP, GIF and TIF file formats, with handwriting recognition as a boost since you can now assemble notes on your TXT ebooks. Considering it is going for half a grand in China, the Hanvon N618 certain is mighty expensive - and to think we haven't even touched on its lack of an ebook store connection just yet.

Light Touch interactive projector hands-on

[CES 2010] Light Blue Optics introduced its Light Touch interactive projector on the showfloor, where it brings a whole new level of interactivity to virtually anywhere you are. Virtually any flat surface can be turned into a display (somewhat like those projection keyboards that was developed for BlackBerrys all those years ago), although that one is much more potent. Coming in a relatively tiny box that is roughly half the Wii's size, it throws a full color image that has multi-touch capability. Within the box runs the Windows CE operating system and Flash Lite support, allowing you to program tools and applications (Windows CE compatible of course) using Flash Lite or .NET software tools as you see fit. Since it can be battery-powered (as well as mains), you can tote that to shows whether you want to impress your clients and future customers with an interactive display which showcases your company's product range. It works best with a 10" display at WVGA resolution, and comes with 15 lumens (standard video content)/35 lumens (typical symbology), USB connectivity, a microSDHC memory card slot, Wi-Fi support, 256MB ROM, 128MB RAM and a battery life of 2 hours. No view on pricing, but Light Blue Optics say that it won't cost a bomb. We've played with it for some moment, and it definitely isn't as smooth as we'd like it to be (perhaps that is just an early build of the software), but we like how it has come along so far. that would be useful to impress your business associates when making an interactive presentation, and it would work particularly well as a commercial and advertising tool more than one that sits in your living room.
