Panasonic has just released its 48GB and 64GB SDXC memory cards alongside a USB card reader which is capable of handling the SDXC format with aplomb. You will find that both cards come in the Class10 speed range, enabling it to hit a whopping 22MB/sec. The 48GB card is capable of storing slightly more than half a dozen hours of full HD video footage in AVCHD format, while the larger capacity model is able to hit 8.5 hours in a similar format. We’re pretty certain backing up the card is going to be a pain in the rear, particularly when it is filled to the brim. Expect these new Panasonic memory cards to reach in Japan that February 19th. The 48GB, 64GB and USB reader will retail for $550, $700 and $55, respectively.

If you’re a huge fan of convergence devices, soon after the USB VOIP Phone and Card Reader might just rock your boat as it boasts the functionality of a full-duplex plug-and-play VOIP phone alongside an integrated USB card reader that can handle both SD and MMC formats. Apart from that, it has an external speaker capability for hands-free conversation just in case you’re frantically trying to finish typing up a document your boss has requested for since yesterday. that nifty device retails for $12.69 from Uxsight.
