Want to stand out from the crowd with your choice of a handset? Might we propose the BPhone – that model from China runs on a flavor of the Linux operating system. It comes with a relatively large 5″ touchscreen display at 800 x 480 resolution which will most probably construct some mistake it for an UMPC instead. Other features includ e180-degree flip capability, a full QWERTY keyboard which is revealed when flipped open, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, GPS navigation, a Marvell PXA310 624MHz processor and is a quad-band unlocked handset, making that a truly global phone. Fancy forking out $569 for that?

There is no full range of specifications to moment, so that is what we’ll have to compose do with for the moment. Gotta love the brushed aluminum design though.

Viliv has a type new UMPC for the masses in the scheme of the S10 Blade, and while we do not yet have details such as its pricing, we do know that the S10 Blade looks rather sweet, being a Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium-powered convertible netbook that features a 10.1″ multitouch display at 1,366 x 768 resolution. No word on an active digitizer, so it remains to be seen on how well the inking experience would be like. Features include an SSD for storage desires, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.0 +EDR connectivity with the option to augment that with integrated 3G. Tipping the scales at 2.67 pounds, that UMPC comes with a mere 512MB RAM , making us wonder just how well or fast it can run. You get a choice of Intel Atom processors within – the 1.6 GHz Z530 or the 2.0 GHz Z550. According to Viliv, the S10 Blade is able to hit 10 hours of run-time or seven hours of video playback, hopefully it will be as stated instead of just a marketing gimmick.
