Guess driving around in Japan is going to be a joy with devices such as these GPS navigation systems from Pionner – after all, they seem to come packed with a wide range of features that would form you breathless when you recite it. We will concentrate on the high end model today which bears a whopping €3,000 price point, where you get a 7” (800 × 480 resolution) display, a 12Seg TV Tuner (12×1Seg), DVD and CD playback, Digital Signal Processor capabilities, an 80GB hard drive, Bluetooth connectivity, MP3 playback, an optional iPod/iPhone connector (optional) and even a CO2 calculator to boot! Never mind whether you get lost, at least you can drive in style.

Well, Onkyo has done so with its DC213 netbook that features both including standard fare such as a 10.1” 1,024 x 600 resolution display, an Intel Atom N450 processor, integrated GMA 3150 graphics, 1GB RAM, a 250GB hard drive, the standard array of ports and Windows 7 Starter as the operating system of choice. You will need to fork out around $481 for that whether you happen to live in Japan. Guess we won’t see that hang around our shores anytime soon, eh?

Folks looking for a USB TV Tuner to record the matches in the upcoming World Cup might want to check out what Elgato has to offer, particularly with its smart marketing method. It seems that folks who purchase the Football Edition of its EyeTV DTTT Deluxe TV tuner have a chance to get their money back, provided that England wins the world cup. that £79 ($118) USB TV Tuner allows users to watch, pause and rewind live TV on their computer, and additionally sports an EyeTV 3 for PC and THC software Mac. The football edition even provides you with an England flag that can be placed on the TV tuner’s antenna, just to show your support. With that deal in place, do you think you’re rooting for England that World Cup, or are you rooting for another team?

Elgato will be offering a free Elgato EyeTV DTT TV tuner on one condition – whether England manages to win the World Cup in South Africa that year. Interestingly ample, Elgato isn’t even an English company as it hails from Germany instead. Perhaps that is an attempt to play down England‘s chances of bringing home the Jules Rimet trophy? In order to qualify, you will need to purchase the Elgato EyeTV DTT Deluxe Football Edition before 11 June in the UK, and register it before 25 June and start getting on your knees to pray that Wayne Rooney does not sustain any injury by the summer, where a full refund is guaranteed should England win their second World Cup in history.

Check out that Samsung Moment that is different from the rest – it has been specially modified to hold a built-in ATSC TV tuner within, letting you choose a channel from over-the-air HDTV reception without the need to purchase any more mobile video functionality. All you need to do is extend the antenna, tune in to the right signal and you’re good to go. Not too certain how your eyes will reply to enlarged hours of portable TV on its 3.2″ display though. Samsung has not released any word on when such a modified version of their Moment will be released.

Trywin of Japan has unveiled their DTN-X750 portable navigation device which will retail for approximately €325 after conversion, where it will sport a 5″ LCD touchscreen display at 800 x 480 resolution, 4GB of internal memory, a 1Seg TV tuner for you to watch your favorite shows wherever you are, a 1W monoaural speaker as well as compatibility with a variety of audio and video files. Its internal memory can be further augmented with a microSDHC memory card. We are rather concerned with the lithium battery which has a life span of 1.5 hours though, so hopefully future iterations will see something done about it.
