Rilakkuma notebook updated with touchscreen display
March 16, 2010

The Rilakkuma notebook is back with a vengeance, where it will feature a touchscreen display. Thanks to Kohjinsha who built that machine, you will find an Intel Atom Z520 processor underneath the hood alongside 1GB RAM, a 60GB hard drive (that's miserly to say the least!), a DVD drive, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, a 1Seg TV tuner, a webcam, and an 8.9" touchscreen display at 1,280 × 768 resolution. Expect to see it hit the market sometime that June. Looks set to be a hardcore collector's item only as we don't think business executives would want to tote that around.

Diamond ATI TV Wonder 750
March 16, 2010

Diamond has rebadged the ATI TV Wonder 750 USB dongle for the masses, where that nifty device is more than capable of letting you store a high-bitrate HD quality video for future viewing sans ads after a removal process. Granted, that is rather rare since most folks are more than happy to subject themselves to the wonders of Hulu and Netflix, but we guess there is still a small group out there who prefer an external TV tuner hooked up to their computer. It is capable of receiving virtually any over-the-air digital and analog broadcast signals available, including ATSC, DVB-T and Clear-QAM (unencrypted digital TV). Expect to fork out $50 for that, and even better news is its capability to work across the pond on your travels.

T3-B Multi-touch Table From Digital Touch
March 10, 2010

It looks like companies are busy trying to turn the humble coffee table into something way more interesting. Despite there already being other options and designs being worked on, Digital Touch seems confident in its T3-B table, which is a coffee table sized unit that has a built-in 26-inch LCD, as well as Wi-Fi, allowing users to browse, choose and interact with various options on screen. The inclusion of an orientation switch should be fairly useful, as it allows you to view your composition from any side of the table. The table can additionally be hooked up with an optional receipt printer, credit card reader and TV tuner, making it perfect for settings such as a hotel environment or restaurant. The T3-B is currently featured in a handful of the top 100 venues in the US, so whether you’re ever in one of those posh areas, keep an eye out for such a table.

Shuttle I-capability GXT Mini External Graphics Solution
March 4, 2010

Hooking up external graphic cards to notebooks isn’t something terribly new, as Gigabyte’s BookTop M1305 and M1405 already do that, but that duration Shuttle have plus come up with their own implementation of an external graphic card, which is currently being displayed at CeBIT 2010. The I-Power GXT Mini boasts an ATI Radeon HD 4650 that will hook up to your Shuttle netbook via a special GXP port (which looks something like an HDMI port). According to reports, the card bumped the graphics performance benchmark up from 500 in 3DMark06 to 5,000, which is considerable. The best part is, that accessory basically gives you a PCI-Express slot for you to have fun with, so you can actually replace the graphic card with a TV tuner card, USB 3.0 card or whatever fancy PCI-E card that you have lying around. You should be able to purchase preconfigured versions of that with the card already plugged in, or just the barebone version. Video on that item after the jump.
