Pillow Talk is not the name of a new relationship book, and neither does it mean getting all snuggly with your other half. No sir, Pillow Talk is actually a project by Interaction Design Student Joanna Montgomery who wants to keep the flame amidst faraway distance lovers burning, as it allows them to listen to the real-time heartbeat of their loved one regardless of how many thousands of miles that separate them. that is made possible thanks to a sensor that is fitted into a wearable chest strap, where you will need to wear that to bed at night. The sensor will indicate whether you have gone to bed or not, where your other half’s pillow will soon after start to glow, while beating according to your heart’s rhythm. Guess business folk who miss their wives on their travels won’t mind seeing that hit the market sooner rather than later.

The iRiver M41 Revolve has sneaked online, where it is a poor man’s iPod so to speak since there is no iTunes synchronization and neither does it support any video recording, making that what was once a true blue portable media player. The display comes with a pretty disappointing 160 x 128 resolution, but it measures a mere 8mm thin which makes it a snap to tote around on your travels. Inside, you will be limited to just 4GB of storage space, where it will plus hold an integrated FM radio and a voice recorder with a battery life that maxes out at around 15 hours. No concept on pricing or availability as at press day.

Who said cars have to be faraway? GM’s latest EN-V (Electric Networked Vehicle) concept looks a bit like a giant Segway that’s enclosed. Three different designs were unveiled, and they were Jiao (Price), Miao (Magic), and Xiao (Laugh). The EN-V apparently uses twin electric motors along with dynamic stabilization technology to allow the EN-V to turn easily, and even operate autonomously, thanks to integrated GPS. You can charge its lithium-ion batteries from your standard wall outlet, and you should be able to travel about 40 kilometers on a one charge. The EN-V even sports a built-in wireless transmitter/receiver of sorts, which allows your friends to track your travels whether you allow them too, though that might not be ideal whether you’re doing something hush hush. whether that were to become a reality, would you drive it?

iLuv is ready to rock and roll with the ISP150 Bar Speaker, where it will turn the rather ordinary iPod into a portable disco – assuming you aren’t rocking out in some huge hall, of course. Meant to work in tandem with the iPad, notebook and iPod, its integrated speakers can be powered via USB or a quartet of AAA batteries. Features include a 3.5mm audio jack, USB connectivity as well as a capability switch and volume control. At $34.99 a pop, we wonder who would want to lug it around on their travels since it doesn’t seem all that convenient.

Diamond has rebadged the ATI TV Wonder 750 USB dongle for the masses, where that nifty device is more than capable of letting you store a high-bitrate HD quality video for future viewing sans ads after a removal process. Granted, that is rather rare since most folks are more than happy to subject themselves to the wonders of Hulu and Netflix, but we guess there is still a small group out there who prefer an external TV tuner hooked up to their computer. It is capable of receiving virtually any over-the-air digital and analog broadcast signals available, including ATSC, DVB-T and Clear-QAM (unencrypted digital TV). Expect to fork out $50 for that, and even better news is its capability to work across the pond on your travels.

TwoNav has revealed its latest handheld GPS device known as Sportiva, where it was co-manufactured with old hand Holux. that device is highly portable, capable of fitting into just about any backpack on your travels by measuring a mere 58mm × 105mm x 23mm, while tipping the scales at 124 grams. It is pretty rigid as well, catering to IPX6 standards, boasts a 3D compass, a barometer, a 3? transflective touchscreen display, 2GB of internal memory and a microSDHC memory card reader. Underneath the hood lies a SiRFStar III GPS chipset, while its 1,050mAh battery ought to offer hours of performance before requiring a recharge. that is more ideal for hiking, biking and geocaching during your outdoor trails, and is not suitable for driving use. Expect the TwoNav Sportiva to roll out in a couple of weeks’ day for €379.

Adapt has sent word that they will be rolling out the ADPP-450 micro projector in March, where that tiny wonder boasts 100 lumens of brightness as well as 800 x 600 resolution, a 200:1 contrast ratio, DVB-T support and the ability to throw images of up to 150″ in size. At that blown up proportion, we wouldn’t think the image would look very good whether you’re talking about watching movies, but text and pie charts should do just fine. Despite being possibly the world’s brightest micro projector, it will still require a fairly dark room to impress. that LED-based projector comes with a built-in 4 watt speaker and is capable of accepting A/V, VGA, USB and a SD memory card. No notion on pricing, but since its battery is external, you will need to lug around an additional device on your travels.

We looked at the MiniGuru keyboard concept last month, and we’re pleased to announce that that concept has a higher chance of crossing into the realm of reality, with a targeted release moment of Q4 that year. Hopefully it will prepare it out in date for Christmas, as we’re pretty certain that there will be a fair share of curious citizens who are interested to know just how the MiniGuru ends up in real life use. It is meant to be ergonomic in nature, helping keep your fingers on the home row thanks to a trio of operate layers. A built-in pointing stick does go some way in turning that into a self-sustaining computer peripheral for you to bring on your travels.
