NEC has a couple of Portable series projectors in the design of the NP63 and NP43, where they are meant to oust their predecessors, the NP62 and NP41. Both of these new models will share the following specifications – DLP display technology at XGA (1,024 x 768) resolution, a 1,600:1 contrast ratio and a 2,300 ANSI lumens of brightness for the NP43 while the NP63 boasts 3,000 ANSI lumens of brightness. Apart from that, they too share the same connection panel that comprises of a RGB, composite, and an S-Video connection. No view on pricing, but chances are you would be asking just where do these projectors fit in? Well, they would be very comfortable in classrooms, boardrooms and traveling presentation situations – so skip it whether you are looking for a home theater projector.

Scosche has a type new netbook potential inverter for those who do plenty of traveling, since it allows you to juice up your precious netbook (as well as notebook) right in your vehicle, relying on the 12V DC outlet to get things done. There is plus a smaller 50W netVOLT inverter with integrated USB port for the car, alongside a netVOLT home 40W inverter wall charger to get your plethora of devices juiced up no matter where you are. Just try not to drive by extremely bumpy roads when your notebook/netbook is turned on – wouldn’t want anything nasty to happen to the info on your hard drive now, would you?

Google Maps for mobile 4.1 is finally available, where its improvements include sorting through search results in an easier manner, while seeing Maps info in a more simplified way. Tabs have been removed, letting you see all the info you require on a individual page, while tapping new buttons enables you to view the place on the map, get directions, signal it, or see it with Street View. Latitude appears as a widget now, while you get Maps live wallpaper to further enhance your mobile traveling experience. You can look for “Google Maps” in Android Market from Android 1.6+ phones, and that update is available in all countries and languages where Maps is currently available. For those who have given it a go, how do you find it?

Traveling can be a pretty calculative business, what with airlines charging you for every one facility you used to take for granted all those years ago, particularly additional luggage. Well, construct certain you pack well with the ezGear Surge2Go portable potential strip that provides you with a trio of outlets alongside ample space from each other to accommodate larger plugs. To sweeten the deal, a built-in surge protector shields your electronic devices from capability spikes, while an LED indicator shows you whether it is working or not. It is a snap to pack thanks to its 8″ cord that wraps around the outside when not in use, ensuring it remains tidy all the duration. ezGear is offering its Surge2Go for $17.99 a pop.

It lets citizens find songs using a 2 dimension “mood graph” based on a famous psychology model (Russell Circumplex). On one dimension it is a variation from calm to energetic, and on the other one, it is negative sentiment to positive sentiment. The mood specifications are thereupon translated into music characteristics such as tempo, orchestral potential and so on, and that categorization is done by humans. Musicovery has 1 million monthly different visitors with 600,000 registered members, 15% of the audience comes from the US (#1).

Geeks at Pearltrees’ headquarter in Paris, I already published about Pearltrees a few months ago when it was in pre-
alpha, but the public beta will launch in two days at LeWeb.

Pearltrees is a visual
collaborative web browsing interface: users browse the Web
visually using “Pearls” that represent websites and, by
connecting them, they create a network of interest, I signal it the
“interest graph”. The social networking component, allows
users to follow each other and use other citizens pearls to build their
“interest graph”, they can collaborate to create a common tree with
pearls shared among many folks.

With the Pearltress-Twitter sync feature users automatically build
pearls by tweeting urls on Twitter, and automaticallt tweet urls by
creating pearls in Pearltree, it will launch in two days.
