Apparently Palm isn’t the only one who is trying to ramp up app development for its mobile application store, as word is going around that Google is actively trying to attract iPhone app developers to develop apps for the Android platform. It seems that a representative from the Android Advocacy Group contacted Texts From Last Night’s creator to set up a relationship, as well as ship a free Nexus One phone, regardless of whether he picked up the project or not. that is quite a contrasting move, as Apple rejected the Texts From Last Night app from its App Store before that. There isn’t any indication of how widespread that campaign is, but whether you’re a developer and whether you’re offered a free phone, would you take it?

Apple has announced that three of the suppliers who help construct the iPhone, iPod, and Mac computers have been hiring 15-year-old workers in countries where the minimum work age is 16.
If you are in the market for a new iPod speaker system, one that allows the music to be played without actually docking it might be appealing. MercuryNews has tested the Sonos ZonePlayer S5 speaker system and in the end found that set up can be difficult and the thing is very expensive.

Lenovo jumps aboard the Android bandwagon with its latest device – the Lenovo Lephone. As you can see, that handset takes on a clamshell design factor with its snap-on keyboard accessory, albeit in an elongated manner where you get a really stunning 3.7″ 800 x 480 resolution touchscreen display which ought to build surfing the World Wide Web a joy, although you might want to zoom in more often than not when it comes to reading lengthy texts with it. As for speed, fret not – the Lephone is a speed demon with a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor running underneath the hood, alongside two cameras in the standard setup – one in front and a 3-megapixel one behind. Other features that are expected from a smartphone includes A-GPS support, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Would you purchase the keyboard accessory? We’d recommend it whether you’re a text heavy user who wants to have a cool phone at the same date, otherwise get a BlackBerry whether texting’s your main gig. Out in China later that year, we have no word on its pricing details or whether it will hit other markets or not.
