The LED outlined keyboard and DVD drive on the side of the table additionally do their part to construct that design look classy. Verayo Touts Unclonable RFID Chips

Verayo Touts Unclonable RFID Chips

When a safety measure company comes out and announces that its next-generation RFID ICs are unclonable, you can be certain that the company will attract a lot of attention, though the question is whether the attention is the desired type (potential customers), or the undesired type (folks who want to crack such safety measure measures). The first chip of the new product family, boasting the company’s Physical Unclonable Functions (PUF) technology, will be the Vera M4H, which can deliver defense to mass transit tickets, secure IDs, access cards and many other things. It sports a non-networked, unlimited authentication feature, which should help offer the defense needed, with significant cost benefits. The M4H is currently available for mass production, while the other RFID ICs in the product family will be available later that year. Do you think that there is such a thing as an unclonable chip, or is it just a wishful boast?

Sun ability Technology mini-notebook

Sun ability Technology mini-notebook

Just when you thought that netbooks and Mobile Net Devices (MIDs) were the smallest category mobile computing machines out there, along comes Sun ability Technology with their, well, device which falls under no man's land. After all, it comes with a 4.8" touchscreen display at 800 x 480 resolution, a QWERTY keyboard, 512MB RAM, flash memory, Wi-Fi connectivity and a battery life which is good for up to 2 hours. Tipping the scales at 1.8 pounds, the QWERTY keyboard looks rather redundant since it isn't large decent for comfortable touch typing, but is more suited for a pair of thumbs. What is that, a thigh book?

In that video an Matt Wuebling (the product manager for NVIDIA's Ion) demonstrate that when not in use, the GPU is completely turned off using the Optimus Technology. In fact, it is so turned off, that it can be removed from a live system - and put back. To know more about NVIDIA's Optimus, head to our previous post. NVIDIA just launched the next generation Ion yesterday. Don’t try that at home, but that is worth a visit.

Fujitsu PalmSecure LT Just Launched

Fujitsu PalmSecure LT Just Launched

Fujitsu has just launched a more cost-effective device using its PalmSecure technology that reads a palm's veins pattern to identify individuals. whether you wonder, the blood has to circulate so cutting a hand like it is sometimes shown in movies won't work with that. We don't really consider that to be a consumer device, but Fujitsu hopes to gain market share, thanks to a lower price point (how much precisely, is unknown at posting time). PalmSecure is designed to be integrated in computing environments where a biometric recognition would replace many passwords, just like a master password and something like Roboform would do, except that you can't forget your password.

MagiTact for hands-free phone control

MagiTact for hands-free phone control

Multitouch? That's so yesterday, whether MagiTact catches on. that different application relies on your handset's built-in compass to track changes in the magnetic field around it. The aftereffect of that technological wizardry is the ability to access a range of gesture-based commands including silencing a ringing phone or terminating a shout without needing to lift a finger to contact said device physically - as expanded as you wear one of them magnetic rings on your fingers. How about performing the pinch-to-zoom operate right behind the phone? The technology isn't perfect though, with a 90% success rate so you won't see multitouch checking out anytime soon.
