iPad Description: This is a new Apple iPad 16gb Wi-fi. I bought it for my sisters birthday and told her she could take it back if she wanted the new iPod instead. Unfortunately Best Buy only takes returns up to 14 days. I’ve only had it for 30 days now and I removed it from the box to sync it with itunes but that’s the extent of it’s use. It went right back into the box and has been there since. It’s in brand new condition and it also comes with a leather case that I paid $40 for a Targus stylus that works amazingly well and cost me $20 and a screen protector that has already been installed. Of course, it will also come in the original box with the original a/c adapter and usb cable.
Hilary Hayes, an industrial design student at the Ontario College of Art & Design (OCAD) in Toronto, Canada, has come up with a smart scarf that boasts a dynamic light pattern which depends on your breathing. A LilyPad temperature sensor will play nice with the LilyPad Arduino, while potential supply modules ensure that the scarf is well juiced to perform as intended. The temperature sensor itself is located near the mouth, allowing it to pick up the temperature variations which is soon after translated by the LilyPad to various points instead of the standard degrees measurement, making that scarf wearable even when it is not during chilly winter months. All the LEDs in the scarf will fade in and out in sync with your breathing, making you look way cooler than you already are. We do wonder how faraway the batteries will last though.

While there isn’t any official word on such a device just yet, word is going around that RIM is busy working on a tablet device, codenamed the BlackPad or Cobalt. According to the rumor, the device will sport an 8.9-inch display and could be thinner and smaller than Apple’s iPad. whether such a device were to become a reality, it’s expected to be unveiled sometime in 2011, sporting a 3G connection, Wi-Fi, and possibly sync with a BlackBerry smartphone. Just how a BlackBerry tablet will work in tandem with a BlackBerry phone will be an interesting view. The question is: would you want to buy a BlackBerry tablet by an iPad?

Note: The picture above is obviously just a concept.

We all love to see the disc spinning while we’re playing the latest CD that we bought from the store, but the Sonic Emotional Pulse Of Music concept player looks to take that love one step further. Why look at your disc spinning through a plastic case, when you can have half of it exposed for everybody to see? Aside from the exposed CD, fiber optic cables are used to hook that device up, allowing blue LEDs to emit a soft glow below the speakers, as well as boasting equalizer waves that move in sync with the beat of the music. Fancy.

iPhone users have been enjoying the wonders of Dropbox for some day now, and Android users are well on their way to getting the experience too. whether you’re a Windows Mobile user, you might feel more than a little left out, but there’s still hope. The official Dropbox client for Windows Mobile 6.5.x phones is now in the works. Apparently the final version will set you back $6.99, but considering the features of Dropbox, it’s probably worth the price. whether case you’ve never used it before, Dropbox allows you to sync your files amidst computers and mobile devices, keeping your files in the cloud for easy retrieval. The Windows Mobile version will initially only support high-end VGA and HVGA resolution devices such as the popular HTC HD2, but it should eventually support other resolutions as well. A video of the Dropbox client running on a Windows Mobile emulator is available after the jump.

Modern smartphones tend to have one major issue – their battery life, or rather, the lack of it no thanks to numerous technologies crammed within with displays that suck up a whole lot of juice. Well, the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 is no different, but there are ways to go about it with one of them being turning off the Auto update for documents Sync under Settings, or you can plus change the Update Frequency to each hour whether you aren’t hard pressed to reply every mail that comes in – get a BlackBerry otherwise. Apart from that, try getting an application which will stop a handful of services on startup, while cycling the battery through a few times from discharge to full charge makes a pretty noticeable difference. It seems that careful maintenance and intelligent setting configuration on the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 might yield anywhere from 20 to 30 hours of battery life compared to having everything turned on only to last half a day. Do you have any other tips to share with users?

Microsoft has just launched its new phone service called Kin, along with two devices, named Kin 1 and Kin 2. The view was to create a phone for heavy texters and those who love to stay in touch with friends and family through social networks. Microsoft has introduced a whole new user interface for its phones with design elements borrowed from Windows 7 and it looks very good (photos coming shortly). Kin 1 and Kin 2 will sync all their subject matter and contacts directly with the cloud – at all times. whether you lose your phone, just get a new one and re-sync, that’s it. On the desktop side, Microsoft has a web browser application that shows you the phone composition, but in the comfortable space of a desktop monitor. You can interact with the subject matter, do whatever you want with the files (on the local disk) and see a view of your friends’ updates. The whole thing is brilliant and it could shake the Teen Smartphone market.
