We certainly don’t mind tech seeping into our everyday items, and the Audio Lounger concept certainly looks like one of those things we wouldn’t mind making room for. It sports four built-in high quality speakers and a (rather noticeable) large subwoofer, not to mention a touchscreen panel on the upper side of the seat to keep you in touch with your favorite music. that design by Matt Hardman additionally includes LED lights that offer ambient light that can be set with a range of colors, giving that concept lounger a futuristic look. Now we only have to wait for someone to mass produce that.

Philips Immersive Sound home theatre system

Philips latest Immersive Sound home theatre system might look pretty ordinary with just five satellites, a subwoofer and a base unit, but there is more to it than meets the eye - apparently, that strange audio system contains a trio of speakers, with one pointed forwards while the other two are angled to the left and to the right. that strange setup ensures you receive 360-degree sound regardless of where you are sitting from all 16 speakers. As an added bonus, the base unit is additionally equipped with a Blu-ray/DVD player and DLNA functionality. Other specifications include Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD audio, stands for the rear speakers, an aluminium finish and a low capability consumption of 0.3W. There is no word on pricing or availability though.

[CES 2010] Talk about pimping your ride - that fully kitted out Toyota Tacoma has been fitted with the latest technological advancements that aims to satisfy the gaming community who want an alternative playing experience. We won't be concentrating on what the exterior of the car as well as its automotive parts are composed of, but will focus on the gaming rigs within. Powered by four Xbox 360 Elite consoles, you get one 24" HD LCD monitor from Samsung for each gamer that folds outwards, alongside a Sharp Aquos 65" HD LCD public viewing monitor on the back of the Tacoma. Audio is provided via a bunch of amplifiers and a subwoofer for that added kick, but you will need to open up all doors whether three of your mates want to have a gaming session for all and sundry to look at. Don't get mugged while you're at it though - we'd propose getting groupies to watch your ride else it might end up relieved of its tech when you're back from your dinner.

X Rocker goes wireless

Gaming chairs can be said to be a pretty niche market, but that doesn't mean the market isn't a viable one. Good to see that niche making the move to go wireless as well in the anatomy of the X Rocker wireless chair. It has a maximum transmission range of 65 feet, although real world use would probably see that theoretical figure plumment but a reasonably large margin. Still, that is no cause to be alarmed since most of you don't live in a huge mansion anyways. Capable of offering simultaneous audio transmission amidst (up to) eight chairs, you get two tweeters and a subwoofer tucked away for the optimal audio experience when gaming. At least little Johnny need not trip by any more whenever he runs to greet you.

Yamaha YHT-S400 sound bar

Pioneer XW-NAS3 and XW-NAS5 iPod speaker systems

Pioneer has a couple of iPod speaker systems heading Stateside - the XW-NAS3 and XW-NAS5, where they both will boast 2.1-channel audio with an integrated downfiring subwoofer, an integrated iPod dock, component and composite video outputs, a remote control and an auxiliary input. whether you decide to use it with the AS-BT100 Bluetooth adapter, fret not - it works equally well, too. Apart from that, the NAS5 will come with Pioneer’s Advanced Sound Receiver processing that offers improved sound from compressed files and Auto Level Control that helps monitor volume level from track to track. No word on pricing is available for either speaker system.
