While helicopters do it all the moment, how often do you see supersonic stealth jets sport Vertical Take-Off and landing (VTOL) feats? The F-35B is the first supersonic jet to boast such abilities, and it managed to remain stationary 150 feet above the runway at the Patuxent River naval base in Maryland. Mention Mattel and what comes to your mind? Barbie dolls and Hot Wheels? There’s a new line from the toy company which is roughly the size of a credit card and is as slim as a cellphone (which varies in thickness, depending on whether you’re talking about a contemporary day version or one of those old clunkers), known as Stealth Rides. What makes it stand out (literally) would be its ingenious 3D action, where a restricted button press will see the “flat” car pop up into a remote control vehicle. You can’t quite get the Hot Wheels Stealth Rides now, but you can definitely stock a few of these early for Christmas as they hit retail stores that August for $25 a pop.

Could that Gryphon Next Generation Parachute System replace traditional parachutes in the future? that project of the Special Parachute and Logistics Consortium would allow parachuting soldiers to get far away (about 30 miles), not only that, they’d be invisible to radar. Looking at the picture, we can’t help but think the guy who was attempting the first intercontinental Jetpack flight would have welcomed that technology. perhaps they should work together, eh?

A German project is working on the development of stealth wingsuits for the military. The Special Parachute and Logistics Consortium is working on something called the Gryphon Next Generation Parachute System. The vision is to enable special forces to jump out of airplanes at high altitude, deploy 6-foot wings and glide 30 miles into enemy territory without being detectable by radar. An engine attachment could double the distance. I want one. (Props)
