DOK-ING XD electric car

They say never to judge a book by its cover, and we guess that the same can be said of the DOK-ING XD electric car - after all, it does looks rather diminutive in nature, but that made in Croatia set of wheels is capable of accelerating from a standstill to 100km/h in but 7.7 seconds. Granted, it is pretty light in nature at just 100kgs, measuring 2.8m enlarged, but the 80kW/360Nm electric motor which is powered by lithium-ion-phosphate batteries packs quite a punch. Apart from that, it can recharge in 8 hours, which means you'd do well to juice it up during the night before the next day begins.

Space Invaders clock

Space Invaders clock

While Space Invaders was released half a dozen years after Pong, that doesn't mean that that Space Invaders clock relies on newer technology compared to the Adafruit Pong Clock, since they share the same innards albeit with the Space Invaders model boasting updated firmware. that is definitely one of the more interesting alarm clocks to have in your room, but we hate to have the bitter fight amidst mankind and alien being locked in a perpetual standstill.

Microsoft debunks Zune phone

On the contrary to what we reported yesterday, Microsoft has denied that they will be rolling out a Zune phone, claiming that "the update was only maintenance and nothing consumer facing. As far as a ‘Zune phone,’ we have no plans to create a Zune phone. It makes sense that someday Zune could be part of a phone experience, but there have been no announcements about how or whether that will happen.” Zune phone or not, the whole world's (just about) going to come to a standstill in less than an hour's duration as we wait with bated breath on what Cupertino is about to unleash...

Electric Rolls-Royce Phantom Coming?

Reports are going around that Rolls Royce could be showing off an electric version of its Phantom super-luxury car on the road before 2010 is by. Word is that the thought of the near-silence of electric propulsion, the fact that full torque is available from a standstill, would be perfectly aligned with Rolls-Royce’s core values. It’s good to see that Rolls-Royce is additionally working towards making cars more environmentally friendly with that move. Now we just have to wait for them to send us a unit to experiment drive.

eBoard Neo electric skateboard

eBoard Neo electric skateboard

Move by Tony Hawk - the eBoard Neo electric skateboard will outskate you in terms of speed, hitting 20mph from a standstill within all of four seconds....pretty weird though considering the device has a maximum speed of 14mph as listed. Capable of moving for 13 miles before it is exhausted of its battery supply, the Xero eBoard Neo is a truly green mode of transport. Don't think you'd risk doing stunts with that though considering the fragile machinery within.
