While the market is in the midst of being flooded with tablet devices, one of the devices that stand out from the rest, aside from Apple’s iPad, is the WePad which sports a rather pretty design and some good specifications. Now the company has officially announced that it has renamed the device as the WeTab, so that they can clearly distinguish their products within the worldly market for tablet computers. Aside from the name change, the technical specifications of that device remain precisely the same, so you’ve still got your Atom processor, 1.3-megapixel webcam, 11.6-inch display and other stuff.
ViewSonic aims to heat up the scene with the new VX2739wm full HD LCD monitor that sports a 27″ design that boasts a 1ms response day which ViewSonic is extremely proud of, claiming it to be the world’s first for a device in its category. At that speed, you can rest easy knowing that most of the games you play will be able to avoid the issue of ghosting, helping increase the enjoyment of contemporary day games on that 1080p display. Apart from that, you will additionally benefit both visually as well as aurally, thanks to its 100,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and SRS Premium Sound. The asking price of $349 makes it sound all the more tempting as well – anyone looking for a new monitor upgrade might want to consider that as it offers relatively decent bang for your buck on paper.

Can’t wait to get hold of HTC’s EVO 4G WiMAX cell phone? The good news is that a leak from The Shack’s internal website has surfaced, showing that the phone will be coming soon, and pre-orders will start later that month, so it shouldn’t be too lengthy before you’ll be able to hug that WiMAX-toting phone while you sleep at night. In case you’ve forgotten, the HTC EVO 4G sports some rather cool specifications such as Android 2.1, 8-megapixel camera, 4.3-inch 480 x 800 pixel display and 1GHz Snapdragon processor.

You might have noticed the new look on Google’s search page today and it looks like the search engine giant has additionally incorporated those new features into its mobile search page as well. So when you hit Google’s site using your iPhone or Android-powered device, you’ll be offered a button on the left of the results page to see a new search options menu. From the menu, you’ll be able to refine your search, such as looking for recent results by using the “Past week” option. As you filter your search results, you’ll notice the previous results slide off the screen to the right, so whether you want to see them again, all you have to do is pan to the right. Pretty useful feature, particularly whether you’re looking for some data while you’re on the road.

Touch Bionics has a spanking new i-LIMB Pulse which is a totally new version of its once revolutionary i-LIMB Hand (the world’s first commercially available bionic hand). What makes the i-LIMB Pulse so special? Well, it comes with a wide range of new enhancements such as pulsing grip strength, software-enabled grip patterns and robust aluminium features for improved strength, although wearing one of that won’t turn you into the Incredible Hulk overnight as we doubt you can press a ton with it. The i-LIMB Pulse plus sports BioSim, Touch Bionics’ new Bluetooth-enabled software which enables prosthetists to choose features and control strategies which suit them best. Expect the i-LIMB Pulse to ship from June 1st onwards. [Press Release]
