Vodafone Ditches HTC HD2 In Favor Of iPhone
December 11, 2009

It seems that HTC HD2 fans that are on Vodafone’s network might be out of luck. Despite the popularity of the HD2, a Vodafone spokesman has said that Vodafone has decided not to restock the phone, ditching it in favor on a slew of new phones next year, which will include the iPhone. Does that mean that the iPhone has trumped the HTC HD2 in that arena?

Google kills Gears
December 1, 2009

Google has just killed off its Gears by supporting HTML 5 instead. that news comes about as Google is about to release its initial beta version of Chrome for the Mac. According to a Google spokesman, “We are excited that much of the technology in Gears, including offline support and geolocation APIs, are being incorporated into the HTML5 spec as an open standard supported across browsers, and see that as the logical next step for developers looking to include these features in their websites.”

Palm explanation failures reported
November 24, 2009

Palm detail users have reported goods loss after resetting an detail, or while trying to use their detail on a new Palm WebOS device. input loss includes contacts, calendar, memos, and tasks.
“We are seeing a small number of customers who have experienced issues transferring their Palm Profile data to another Palm webOS device,” a Palm spokesman said in a statement. “Palm and Sprint are working closely together to support these customers to successfully transfer their data to the new device.”
Palm says that only a small number of users are affected, but we don't really know what "small number" means, and it's hard to tell whether your phone will be next. Be safe and backup your stuff. May be we'll all learn something from the recent Sidekick debacle and from that growing one... I’ve had something like that happen to me during my Palm Pixi Review, where my explanation was lost and I had to re-create it from scratch. I’m on an Exchange detail, so nothing was lost… phew!
