Normally when you see an advert regarding an Android device, it’s probably not all that exciting, but it seems that the folks by in Korea seem to like move lively advertisements, at least that’s what we’re guessing based on the video ads from South Korean network SK Telecom. It looks like Google has decided to exclude all games from the Korean version of its Android Market. Apparently Google made that decision considering it’s impossible to have all the games sold on Android rated by the local regulator, which is the Korean Game Rating Board. Thanks to that move, Google’s Android Market won’t be blocked in South Korea. It’s worth noting that Apple has additionally removed the games category from its Korean App Store, but iPhone users in Korea are setting up secondary accounts to access games in the App Store, which might just be an view for Android phone owners by there too.

South Korean scientists are reportedly working on 3D ebooks which are able to animate the stories to add more flavor and fun when tilted, but that would mean wearing a pair of dorky looking 3D glasses. You won’t find that in upcoming ebook readers though, so be prepared to wait for a fair number of years before such technology hits the mass market at an affordable price. Perhaps whether you are in your 30s, your grandkids would benefit from 3D ebooks?

The LG Maxx has just made its presence official in South Korea, where it is starting to look like a worthy successor to the Arena feature phone. Apart from mobile TV and HD video playback, the LG Maxx will plus run on the speedy Snapdragon processor that ought to handle just about anything you throw at it – for the moment, at least. Features include a sharp 3.5″ WVGA display, a five megapixel camera, Wi-Fi connectivity, GPS support and a bezel-heavy look. No view on whether the LG Maxx will reach at other parts of the world, since the inclusion of a South Korean mobile TV tuner suggests otherwise. What do you think?

China Unicom has said that it expects the iPhone to capture by 10% of the 3G market in China. whether you figure in the glut of grey market iPhones already on the market there I wonder whether the iPhone already has 10%.
