Sony Ericsson’s Xperia X10 Unboxed
March 20, 2010
Sony Xperia’s X10 might be just around the corner, but that doesn’t form any unboxing event of the phone less exciting. Now a video of Sony Ericsson’s upcoming flagship phone being unboxed has surfaced online. The phone is still powered by Google’s Android 1.6, which is obviously older than the current Android 2.1, and Sony Ericsson has done a good job to pretty up the OS. Rumors are hinting that Sony Ericsson might be updating the OS version on that phone, so there might be hope of getting Android 2.1 on that device just yet. Have you decided to pick that phone by Apple’s iPhone, or do you still think that the iPhone or Google’s Nexus One is more appealing? Video of the phone being unboxed after the jump.

GameBone iPhone Gamepad Accessory
March 20, 2010

If you think that your iPhone needs a little something additional in order to challenge Sony’s PSP, or Nintendo’s DS, the Gamebone gamepad accessory for the iPhone might be just the thing. It does seem to turn your iPhone to something resembling a PSP, so that’s probably good news, considering that the PSP looks quite good. Aside from the gamepad, the Gamebone actually goes the additional mile by offering an additional 2000mAh battery on board for additional gaming hours, built-in stereo speakers, omni-directional mic, and a (probably unnecessary) 3.5mm headphone jack. There isn’t any official pricing mentioned, but the Gamebone is apparently scheduled to be launched in Q4 of 2010.

Sony Torne For PS3 Selling Very Well In Japan
March 19, 2010

In a technologically advanced country such as Japan, who would have thought that a digital video recorder attachment for the PS3 would enjoy brisk sales? Well, apparently Sony’s Torne (the aforementioned digital video recorder attachment) is doing just that. The Torne allows you to watch digital terrestrial broadcasting on your PS3, as well as record them for later viewing, which is probably the Japanese equivalent of the European PlayTV. In case you’re tempted to import one of these Stateside, it’s certainly worth noting that it’s only capable of recording Japanese terrestrial TV signals, so it probably wouldn’t do you much good outside of Japan.
