Rock Your Firefox Blog
March 11, 2010

[SXSW] Yesterday, Mozilla launched its new blog “Rock Your Firefox”, featuring the coolest add-ons for Firefox, the popular open source browser. The first post featured Yoono, a social networking site aggregator and management tool that lets public chat or update their status in various social websites, and that, from the Firefox sidebar while they browse the web. The latest version (7.1) was released last month. I have not used Yoono in a while, it might now do the same job as Hootsuite in a smaller space (from the side bar instead of using the whole browser window); well, I have to check it. The second post features Xsticky, a virtual sticky note add-on that lets you jot down thoughts and put them by any web page. Rock Your Firefox will be a good online info center to discover new adds-on quickly.

Google To Add Sidebar
November 22, 2009

While Google is doing quite well (to say the least) with its search business, it’s great to see that Google is still paying attention to details and willing to try out new stuff. Google’s vice president of search product and user experience has said that Google will soon start analyzing a new permanent sidebar on its results page. It seems that users are happy with that direction that Google is taking, and it would certainly help us filter through the giant pile of details from Google.
