Nokia drops NFC handset
February 20, 2010

Nokia has canceled its already delayed 6216 handset which boasts integrated NFC (Near Field Communication) capability, and while Nokia remains pretty tight lipped on the reasons behind its cancellation, citing that it felt "the quality of the consumer experience was not what it needed to be". Despite that setback, Nokia leaves the door for future NFC-enabled handsets open by stating that its "commitment to NFC remains as strong as ever."

Apple delays 27-inch iMac yet again
January 21, 2010

Guess the 27" iMac from Apple has experienced yet another setback, that moment round with its scheduled shipping duration being moved back by another 3 weeks. that sudden delay was unexpected just a week after its authorized resellers started to receive volume shipments of the big-screen models. While direct order delays are the norm yet again, many resellers still have some of these problematic 27" iMacs in stock save for a handful of exceptions. Guess even the best hardware is always accompanied by a bugbear of sorts to even things out.

N97 And SE Saito Pulled From Stores
November 24, 2009

With the recent dominance of Apple’s iPhone OS and Google’s Android, Symbian certainly doesn’t want any setbacks, but it seems unlucky that a setback is what has happened. Reports are filtering that Nokia’s N97 and Sony Ericsson’s Saito have been pulled off the shelves due to quality concerns. Folks who try and buy the N97 online via Vodafone UK are redirected to the N97 mini, which is apparently more stable. The Saito on the other hand seems to shut down when users try and launch assured apps, and it seems that there isn’t a downloadable fix just yet. whether these problems are down to Symbian’s OS, it’s certainly a cause for concern. Of course, we’ll have to wait and see what the official word on that is, but till next, it seems that the Saito wouldn’t be the best phone to buy just yet.
