Samsung Tablet To Sport Android And 4G Connectivity?

This is still unconfirmed at the moment, but word is going around that the recently mentioned Samsung tablet might be powered by Google’s Android OS instead of some edition of Microsoft’s Windows 7. To form the deal even juicier, apparently the device could feature calling via a headset, possibly with some implementation of VoIP, 3G and perhaps even 4G connectivity. Nothing is set in stone at the moment, so we’ll have to keep an eye on that. whether it were up to you, what specifications would you give the Samsung tablet?

Samsung To start Producing 3m Of The 13m iPad Screens Ordered

Reports indicate that Samsung will start producing iPad screens, a good 3 million of them in fact. The Korean company has managed to get a contract with Apple apparently worth $240 million to supply said number of displays for the iPad. The display of the iPad is one of its most expensive parts, costing $80 for all models. LG already has a large multi-year display deal with Apple, and the company is already busy coming up with 10 million iPad displays for the fruity company, putting the total number of displays ordered by Apple at 13 million, which is a wholesome number of iPads, wouldn’t you say?

The Samsung Diva S7070 might come in black and white varieties at the moment, but it will soon reach in a Luxury Gold edition. While we are not certain whether real gold is involved here, the Samsung Diva S7070 looks set to be female-centric, where it will come with similar hardware specifications as with its duller looking brethren, featuring a 2.8" QVGA touchscreen display with 16 million colors, the TouchWiz UI, an accelerometer, social networking integration, a 3.2-megapixel camera and a fancy back cover. No notion on pricing, but it ought to come with a funky looking handbag holder.

Samsung Star TV phone unveiled

Samsung's latest Star TV phone, additionally known as the S5233T, has just been released at South East Asia, with chances that it will reach in India as well. Telegent Systems will be the ones providing the analog mobile TV receiver while Samsung has done a number on its user interface to offer rich graphical controls. You will now be able to channel surf on your cellphone, flicking the screen to change channels, where other features include one-click screen capture and record, an on-screen keypad channel entry and reception of incoming SMS messages even when you are watching TV. No concept on pricing though.

Interesting - remember the story on the Samsung Omnia HD with WP7S which we covered earlier that morning? Well, in a surprising turn of events, that is a handset that was created by Microsoft themselves for the demonstration, and not by the folks at Samsung. Now how about that? We do wonder what other kinds of Frankenstein-like projects would Microsoft indulge in in the near future to cater for the growing legion of Windows Phone 7 Series fans.

South Korean phone charger accepted as global standard

Could the day where my Nokia handset can be juiced up via my friend's Samsung charger draw near? Perhaps, as the universal Telecommunication Union recently gave their nod of approval for a cellphone charger manufactured by South Korean companies. that integrated I/O connection for universal capability adapters is capable of working on just about any input voltage, so it will be interesting to see when it will hit the global market as a outcome.
