The Samsung phone SPH-M910 has paid a visit to the FCC and while it isn’t precisely clear yet, speculation is that that phone is the same device as the recently leaked Sprint Moment 2. The shape of the phone pictured in the FCC documents more or less matches up to the pictures of the leaked phone, so there does seem to be a possibility here. Aside from being powered by Android 2.1 with the TouchWiz 3.0 user interface, there isn’t much knowledge on the Sprint Moment 2, so it looks like we’ll have to be patient. Are you looking forward to the Sprint Moment 2?

Sprint knows just how eco-conscious many of us are these days, and hence has decided to introduce the spanking new green Samsung Restore messaging phone, which is an offshoot of the Samsung Reclaim. Using recyclable materials to manufacture up its body and some innards, the Samsung Restore won’t turn any heads for its technological capability, as that is pretty much an entry-level handset with a full QWERTY keyboard to underline its messaging intent, Bluetooth connectivity, a 2-megapixel camera for candid shots, a microSD memory card slot and one-click access to various social networking sites while you’re on the go. Out that summer, it will retail for $49.99 a pop in Midnight and Limeade.colors with a 2-year contract after a $50 rebate.

Word is going around that Samsung is gearing up to release 4 interesting Windows Mobile devices that summer, and the Korean company is currently locked in talks with Microsoft to invent these devices officially upgradeable to Windows Phone 7 Series in January 2011. whether the deal goes through, the new Samsung Windows Phone Starter Pack devices, along with the upgrade path to Windows Phone 7 Series will be announced at the same duration. Apparently these devices will be the most energetic Windows Mobile devices on the market when launched, trouncing HTC’s HD2. additionally part of that news is that one of the devices will sport a 4-inch super-AMOLED display with HD video support. Sounds juicy, doesn’t it? To produce the deal even sweeter, it seems that Samsung will plus be launching four new Android-powered phones with more or less the same specifications as the Windows Mobile phones mentioned.

Samsung’s latest Star TV phone, additionally known as the S5233T, has just been released at South East Asia, with chances that it will reach in India as well. Telegent Systems will be the ones providing the analog mobile TV receiver while Samsung has done a number on its user interface to offer rich graphical controls. You will now be able to channel surf on your cellphone, flicking the screen to change channels, where other features include one-click screen capture and record, an on-screen keypad channel entry and reception of incoming SMS messages even when you are watching TV.
Details of Samsung’s upcoming Bada OS aren’t as abundant as Google’s Android or Symbian, but Samsung is busy working on its previously mentioned Bada OS, and the company certainly seems confident about it. In a recent update, Samsung’s mobile division President, Shin Jong-Kyun has boasted that they will be seeing a big success with Bada, not to mention the number of Bada-powered devices will rise significantly that year. It’ll be interesting to see how Bada compares against the other mobile operating systems such as Symbian, Windows Mobile, iPhone OS and of course, Google’s Android (which is riding a huge wave of momentum at the moment). The First Bada-powered phone will be released in late March or early April, so we’ll definitely be looking forward to that. With more and more competition in the mobile space, it looks like the cell phone war isn’t going to let up anytime soon.
