First Samsung Bada OS Phone Due In March

Details of Samsung’s upcoming Bada OS aren’t as abundant as Google’s Android or Symbian, but Samsung is busy working on its previously mentioned Bada OS, and the company certainly seems confident about it. In a recent update, Samsung’s mobile division President, Shin Jong-Kyun has boasted that they will be seeing a big success with Bada, not to mention the number of Bada-powered devices will rise significantly that year. It’ll be interesting to see how Bada compares against the other mobile operating systems such as Symbian, Windows Mobile, iPhone OS and of course, Google’s Android (which is riding a huge wave of momentum at the moment). The First Bada-powered phone will be released in late March or early April, so we’ll definitely be looking forward to that. With more and more competition in the mobile space, it looks like the cell phone war isn’t going to let up anytime soon.

Rumor: No Samsung Phone Launches At CES?samsung-no-ces.jpg" />

This still is an unconfirmed rumor, but word is that Samsung Mobile won’t be doing any handset launches at CES 2010. The news that they will be holding their CES press conference at 730am on the 2nd day of CES might additionally indicate that they’re not showcasing anything breathtaking. There will apparently be plenty of TV-related announcements from Samsung, just a lack of cell phone related news. We certainly hope that rumor is wrong, but with LG not placing all that much importance on CES 2010 that year plus, perhaps there might be some truth in that rumor?
