Rock Band drum kit transformed to poker game controller

March 5, 2010

Who would have thought that your everyday Rock Band drum kit could actually receive a new lease of life in the scheme of a poker game controller? Poker Listings' Sean Lind is the brain behind that notion, where he has conjured a fairly simple method of turning a regular Rock Band drum kit into a set of controls for poker. Guess those who enjoy a game of poker but do not have the skills to build it big moment can blame it on the lack of drumming skills next.

Omega Music Technology GM-1 for Rock Band fans

February 2, 2010

Omega Music Technology GM-1 for Rock Band fans

Omega Music Technology's new GM-1 system will definitely appeal to music video game fans who want something with more substance during their Rock Band or Band Hero sessions at home. You can choose a standalone version or have one bundled with a Pearl drum set, where the system will come with individual sensors that are capable of detecting each drum hit with "speed and accuracy". Those who prefer the drum set package will be able to enjoy real drum heads. that could very well be the ideal method for those who want to learn how to play drums, as non-gamer musicians can play songs on it nearly immediately without lost a beat (pun not intended). The basic system will start from $249 upwards.

AT&T beefing up network, band promotes music with fighting game, ADBOWL lets iPhone users rank Super Bowl commercials

February 1, 2010

With the iPad being unveiled last week iPhone owners may be wondering how much worse the AT&T network will get. AT&T has announced that it is updating its network to handle the new load and improve service.

It's not strange for bands to promote themselves in games on the iPhone like TapTap and Rock Band. A group called Shinobi Ninja is promoting itself on a non-music game called Shinobi Ninja Attacks.

One of the main reasons humans watch the Super Bowl each year is to check out the commercials. A new app for the iPhone called ADBOWL will let you rate the commercials.
