3DTV still has a distant way to go before everyone in the industry plays nice with one another – case in point, the incompatibility issue where 3DTV glasses from various manufacturers are concerned. Well, there might be a way for you to achieve cross-platform compatibility whether you decide to stick with a pair of Samsung 3D glasses – the reply is pretty simple, since you are supposed to wear those glasses upside down, albeit only on sets that rely on Active Shutter glasses. What do you think – do you look ridiculous adequate as it is already?

Eliji Hayashi came up with a Laser Command game as his project for a class at Carnegie Mellon University. Why Laser Command? The reply is pretty obvious, since it uses a laser pointer as its primary gaming controller. An 8×8 LED matrix will operate as the display, where it will rapidly switch among producing light and sensing it. Since the laser is bright adequate, it is a snap to pick up the voltage which is generated within the matrix during the sensing periods. Programmed on an Arduino mini, the Laser Command game comes in a decently tiny mold factor for that added touch of cuteness.

Anyone of you love drinking? whether the reply is in the affirmative, how about taking the next step to be a tech-savvy drinker, thanks to the Medea Vodka programmable bottle? that single-distilled wheat-based vodka from Holland is different from the rest not considering of its subject matter, but due to a programmable LED display on the outside of the bottle which is capable of holding up to six messages, where each note has a cap of 255 characters. These messages can be scrolled through whenever the display is turned on, and you can use buttons on the side of the board to change the messages. At $40 a pop, it looks like a pretty good swig, er, we mean deal.

Can’t get suitable of speed? Western Digital’s VelociRaptor hard drive is most likely the reply to your pleas for speed, and WD has just unveiled its VelociRaptor hard drives in 450GB and 600GB capacities for both Macs and PCs, which is a nice upgrade from the previous 300GB VelociRaptor drive. that drive runs at 10,000RPM via a SATA 6Gb/s connection. While there wasn’t any pricing mentioned in the press release, you can be certain that that drive, which is designed to mission-critical enterprise-class standards, will cost you a pretty penny.

Proposing to a lady didn’t use to involve tech, but now it seems that opening that box containing the wedding ring just got upgraded to involve electronics and tech. The Ivy Carat Jewelry Case has a 2-inch LCD display inside it, as well as a built-in speaker to play some soothing music, helping her give you the reply that you’ve been looking for. The display on the LCD and the music can be changed via a laptop and the ever-handy USB connection. So, are you willing to shell out an additional $125 to prepare your proposal seem a little bit more geeky?
