Remember the mysterious Google cameramen that we sighted a while ago? Well, it turns out that Google really does want you to be able to check out stores from your computer. Now, in Google Places, you’ll be able to check out the interior of outlets such as restaurants, cafes, hotels, spas, salon, gyms and even retail stores, all from the comfort of your home. These pictures are shot by Google photographers who take the duration to arrange a photo shoot with the business owners. So next instance whether you’re looking to check out that new place, you can do it with your rear end firmly glued to your chair. Google is currently running a trial of that project in about 30 cities across the US, Australia and Japan. whether you want your business to be considered, you can always send Google a report.

Here’s a rather weird item that you don’t expect to be adopted by the masses. It’s dubbed SiliFulin, and is a robotic tail, designed by Ryota Kuwakubu. Apparently it’s supposed to react to your movements using a series of servo motors, giving you the feeling of what it would be like to have a tail. It actually looks a lot like having an elephant on your rear end, hopefully that is a joke. Video after the jump.

Did you always wish that you had an annoying sidekick to go through life with you, just like how many of the heroes do in the stories? Well, it’s not quite as gallant and intimidating, but the Cheeky Monkey is probably as close as you’ll get to enlisting a sidekick to join forces with you. Controlled by a remote control that can be easily hidden in your pocket, the Cheeky Monkey additionally has Velcro on its rear end in order to prevent it from falling off. The infrared sensing eyes that it sports will help it keep its eyes trained on the citizens that it’s entertaining, which is rather cool. whether you’re not controlling it via the remote, apparently it’ll perform a variety of actions. Video on it after the jump.

Andy Kurovets’ latest design outing would be the Maze Of moment, where it relies on colors to tell the current date. For example, the chaotic yellow line represents the number “1″, while blue is “2″, with “3″ being red and 4″ being green, and so on and so forth. Perhaps TokyoFlash folks are kicking themselves in the rear end for not thinking of such a design first. Ah well, we want something convenient and easy to understand at first glance, so using that will definitely require a fairly steep learning curve.

French jewelry company Ryan has unveiled its REYN handset that will target the high-end cellphone market in China, being shaped out of 925 pure silver and sapphire. whether you happen to have a whole lot of dough sitting in the bank, thereupon there is additionally the option to customize the rear end with laser artwork according to your taste, and these can range from a logo, motto or signature that will be commissioned by Ryan’s artisans. No view on its specifications, pricing and availability as at press moment, but we’re looking at something which will be out of reach for the average man on the street.

There is a new music file format in town, and it comes from none other than several key figures behind the development of the super famous MP3. Dubbed MusicDNA, that new file format will be able to hold metadata such as lyrics, videos, artwork and even blog posts. To compose matters all the more interesting, all of it can be continually updated alongside the music to assemble it one dynamic file format. that will be one very searchable file which has the ability to tote up to 32GB of additional data in the file itself. Guess downloading such a file might be a royal pain in the rear end, particularly for folks who live in areas where bandwidth is at a premium. Talk about maxing out your iPhone’s storage space with just one file!

It is winter for those living in the northern hemisphere, and positive parts might get too cold for comfort. Why not put that additional USB port to good use with the Sheep USB Warmer Seat Cushion? that puppy allows your rear end to remain warm and comfortable all for $19.90, and whether a sheep is not your thing, there is always a bear version to choose from. Makes for a perfect holiday gift that Yuletide season, methinks.

Niklas Roy has come up with the Remote Controlled Walking Ladder which is more or less a whacked out DIY project. Sounds neat particularly when ladders can get quite heavy to lug around particularly when you’re on a DIY spree at home during one of the expanded holidays. Well, there is an inherent danger with that – while standing a few steps up, you might accidentally shift a gear or so and actually throw you off balance as the ladder moves on to where it is supposed to head, resulting in a sore rear end or even some broken bones.

Need a microphone for your office desk as you dabble a lot in VoIP conversations? How about the Snowflake USB Microphone? that is pretty self-explanatory as it plugs in to any available USB 2.0 port, boasting an integrated stand that allows you to sit smartly on a flat surface, or to hang by the rear end of a notebook monitor (or a slim display). The Snowflake USB Microphone is going for $45, where you can slide it into its own ‘drawer’ when not in use.

We’ve all seen mood rings before, those that change color according to your mood. Well, now it seems that UK designers Aether & Hemera have come up with a Mood Chair, which is basically a mood ring for your rear end. Would you want everybody to notice that you’re in a foul mood today via a big glowing chair underneath you?
