It seems that AT&T’s Palm Pre Plus is touted to be faster than the one offered by Verizon, and before all you AT&T fans go out and celebrate, bear in mind that many factors could contribute to that obvious speed increase – it runs on webOS 1.4.2 and does not come preloaded with much details to start with. Initial impressions of the device have additionally pointed to a very responsive QWERTY keyboard alongside better build quality, but we’ll let the consumers decide when the device ships later in the middle of that month.

We brought you word on the LG Ally a couple of days ago with nothing much but a skeleton, but here’s some flesh to cover up its bones in the style of its official site. The Ally’s product page clearly has a thing for Iron Man 2, where we do know that the LG Ally will be powered by the Android 2.1 operating system, boasting a QWERTY keyboard for fast and easy messaging as well as a 3.2″ external touchscreen display which offers tactile feedback to boot. Not only that, you can remain connected to family and friends thanks to integrated social networking capability with direct access to your Facebook and Twitter accounts, while a rear camera and a microSD memory card slot completes its list of features. Still no word on pricing or a carrier though.

LG Mystique will be made available from US Cellular from today onwards, where you will be able to take full advantage of that square-shaped handset that comes with an external touchscreen display as well as a QWERTY keyboard, signalling its messaging intention when flipped open. Other hardware specifications include a 2-megapixel camera with video recording ability, video playback operate, music playback, dual speakers and Bluetooth connectivity. Internal memory can be further augmented thanks to a microSD memory card slot. Expect the LG Mystique to retail for $80 after a $50 mail-in rebate and a two-year contract. Just in case you were wondering why that looks so familiar, it is plus known as the Lotus Elite from Sprint.

Looking forward to getting hold of the BlackBerry Pearl 9105 that sports a T9 keyboard instead of the traditional QWERTY keyboard? Leaked stock screenshots showing the BlackBerry Pearl 9100 (a version of the Pearl 9105) should be launching in Canada soon on Rogers and Bell. According to the leak, the devices will be going for $450 CAD ($451) without any subsidies. Do you think the T9 keyboard will be good for RIM, or is the QWERTY keyboard still RIM’s bread and butter?

Did you think that multi-touch on your MacBook or iPhone was amazing? Try having it on the floor, and see what you can do with it. That’s what a team under human-computer interaction professor, Patrick Baudisch, came up with. It incorporates multi-touch technology into back-projected floors, and the floor can sense the pressure and recognize users based on the soles of their shoes. Thanks to a high level of precision, it can even allow users to type with their foot on a QWERTY keyboard. Check out the video after the jump to see how awesome that really is.

An XML file has pointed towards the BlackBerry Curve 9300, where very little else is known about the upcoming smartphone at least until now. We do know that it will most likely be the next in line to take by wher the Curve 8500 left off, featuring its own 320 x 240 resolution display, 802.11n Wi-Fi connectivity and at least HSPA for 3G. Not only that, it is equipped with a QWERTY keyboard, so that rules out a touchscreen display.
