Google Nexus One sales figures are sub-par
March 16, 2010

Statistics, and damned statistics! Well, these figures don't lie when it comes to the number of Google Nexus One handsets being sold all through the first 74 days of its life in the market. After all, when you compared the Motorola DROID and iPhone, their respective first 74 days resulted in 1.05 million units as well as around 1 million units, while the Nexus one touched slightly more than 10% of those figures at a mere 135,000 Nexus Ones moving into the pockets of consumers. Hopefully with the impending roll out on Verizon Wireless and Vodafone in the coming months, the figures might just bump up.

Qi NanoNote fits snugly into pocket
March 16, 2010

The Qi NanoNote is one different device which is small adequate to cram into most pockets, as it comes with a 3" display at 320 x 240 resolution, featuring a clamshell design and a QWERTY keyboard that ups your productivity rate compared to a pesky alphanumeric keypad. Specially designed for thumb-typing, it can perform the most basic of computing tasks, so do not expect it to handle anything more complex than basic World Wide Web surfing and the ilk. Other hardware specifications include a 336MHz Xburst Jz4720 (MIPS compatible) processor, 32MB RAM, 2GB of internal memory, a microSD memory card slot, speaker, microphone and headphone jacks. No concept on pricing for that Linux-powered machine though.

Is The Nexus One Not Pocket Friendly?
March 6, 2010

Cracked phones are nothing new, after all, folks drop them, sit on them, and who knows what else? That being said, the folks by at CNET apparently had their Nexus One just spontaneously crack (and leave an ugly purple hue). The phone wasn’t dropped or anything, but was just sitting on the desk being charged. When taken for inspection to HTC, it was mentioned by a HTC person that “public sometimes forget that they don't go in pockets,” which is rather weird, considering most folks tend to keep their mobile phones in their pockets. certain, whether you keep it in your back pocket and sit on it, that’s your fault, but not everybody keeps it in their back pocket. The cost of replacing a cracked screen is £180 ($272), which is rather pricey. Regardless of whatever phone you’re using, it’s certainly a good concept to form certain you don’t get the screen cracked, as it’s rarely ever cheap to replace. that story actually reminds us of the physical testing that the Nexus One is subjected to, and that certainly looks a lot more brutal than being put in your pocket.
