We’ve previously seen an Android-powered TV from the People of Lava (which sounds incredibly cool), and now we’ve managed to find another TV that has decided to be powered by Google’s operating system. Designed by GPNC in Korea, that TV is powered by an ARM Cortex A8 processor running at 833MHz and sports connections such as USB, HDMI, S-Video, D-Sub, DVI and Component. that backlit LED TV will be running on version 1.5 of Android, which is slightly older, but still cool nonetheless. The TV will be available in 42-inch, 47-inch, and 55-inch sizes in 10 different countries, which sadly doesn’t include the U.S. The lucky countries include: Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, the Netherlands, Poland, Australia, and Dubai.

Looks like the upcoming Google set top box might not be the only way to get a Google influence into your TV, as the People of Lava (yes, that’s the company name) are planning to come up with an Android-powered TV, with the first model being a 42-inch high definition LED screen that should cost around $2,700-$3,400, and should be followed by the 47-inch and 55-inch models. An Android-powered TV would certainly be cool, as you’d probably be able to stream video like YouTube, Netflix and Hulu directly to the TV. Would you want an Android-powered TV, or are you composition to get your media from an external device?

People seem to have a penchant for turning defunct hard drives into clocks, not that we mind, and next up we’ve got a persistence of vision clock, which is housed within a block of acrylic, and is powered by a hard drive motor mounted in the center of the panel. The motor is used to spin a PCB, and uses an optoelectric sensor to sync the display with the rate of rotation, giving you the cool effect of a digital analog clock. Video of that clock in action after the jump.
