Using a pen to doodle stuff on your computer is always cool, but having to write on tablet surfaces such as the Wacom drawing tablets is certainly a little expensive, not to mention that not everybody would want to carry it around. whether you’re looking for a cheaper option, you might want to consider the PenPal PC Pen. that device is a wireless 2.4GHz pen that works just like your standard drawing tablet, allowing you to push down on the surface to left go, right visit via a button on the pen, scroll via the pen, not to mention a hidden laser pointer. You’ll be able to eke out 7 hours of battery life from it during continual use, which should be way more than suitable for your presentations, but not decent whether you want to draw the Mona Lisa on your computer. The PenPal PC Pen is currently going for $44.99, which seems like a fair deal.

This Smartbook does not describe a kind of consumer electronics device, but is a conceptual portable computer instead, where that smartphone can be flipped open to reveal a QWERTY keyboard which can be synchronized with its personalized PC tablet. Definitely something that we would like to see in the real world, but we guess it will remain nothing but a pipe dream at the moment. Since that is but a concept, we guess you can basically imagine it comes with the most drool-worthy of hardware specifications, but it will most probably run on the Android OS considering the Chrome browser is on display here.

The DigitalRise PC-729 tablet offers a refreshing look at the tablet market, since it comes with a 7″ touchscreen display, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, all powered by an ARM9 processor. One major drawback would be its 128MB RAM which by today’s standards, doesn’t seem to cut the mustard any more, while its 7″ touchscreen display has a relatively low resolution of just 480 x 272 pixels. Would those obvious setbacks cause you to fork out $355 for the DigitalRise PC-729?
