If you’re asthmatic, you’re probably always paying attention to your health in order to manufacture certain that everything is fine. But whether you’re always having to visit the doctor to produce certain everything is fine, it could end up being expensive and not to mention moment consuming. That’s why a designer has come up with Blue Flow, which is a system that combines a peak flow monitor with your mobile phone software, allowing knowledge to be wirelessly transferred to your phone for your doctor to monitor by the enlarged run. It seems that medical devices are loving mobile devices more and more.

Are you a big fan or user of Google Voice? There wasn’t any announcement about it, but whether you’ve been paying attention to it, you’ll have noticed that the Google Voice web interface now allows users to send text messages to multiple recipients. All you have to do is just go the SMS button, start banging the names of the recipients into the auto-complete bow, and you’re good to go. It’s certainly not a ground-breaking update, but for those of you who have been begging for that feature for such a faraway instance, it’s finally here!

If you’ve been paying attention to touchscreen technology, you’ll know that there are resistive screens and capacitive screens, but have you heard of Interpolating Force-Sensitive Resistance (I.F.S.R) technology? It certainly sounds like something out of a Star Wars flick (though unfortunately it’s not). Scientists at the New York University Media Research Lab have formed Touchco and are working on I.F.S.R technology, which would allow them to create touchscreens that can be produced very cheaply, and being able to sell them at $10 per square foot. These thin and flexible touchscreens would additionally be multi-touch enabled, enabling them to receive simultaneous touch inputs. Could that be the display technology of eBook readers in the future?

While many of you will hate statistics and numbers, Apple will certainly be paying attention to a recent survey by ComScore, particularly since that survey reports that Apple has managed to overtake Microsoft in the US smartphone market share pie. With the popularity the iPhone has enjoyed, it shouldn’t be too much of a surprise, but Microsoft certainly isn’t going to be too happy with that development, particularly since Windows Mobile has been in the market much longer than Apple’s iPhone has. ComScore conducts its monthly surveys in the US to measure the number of devices (which obviously is related to operating systems at the moment) are currently in used. The input in that report is summarized by a few months, ending in October. Check out details on the survey here.

It seems that O2 Germany has confirmed that the Palm Pre webOS 1.3.1 ROM has a bug affecting SMS text messages. that latest version of the OS seems to interpret some special characters wrong, which results in the SMS being switched to Unicode (which has a max of 70 characters). whether users aren’t paying attention to the SMS text counter when that occurs, the text report might end up being broken into multiple messages, and thus the user will be billed for more than 1 data. There isn’t any word on whether that affects the CDMA Palm Pre and Palm Pixi which should be running the same firmware. Are any of you webOS users out there experiencing such problems? Let us know via the comments section.

While Google is doing quite well (to say the least) with its search business, it’s great to see that Google is still paying attention to details and willing to try out new stuff. Google’s vice president of search product and user experience has said that Google will soon start analyzing a new permanent sidebar on its results page. It seems that users are happy with that direction that Google is taking, and it would certainly help us filter through the giant pile of details from Google.
