Now Motorola has released a statement via its Facebook page stating that the move bears no ill-intentions towards Google and is only planning to use Skyhook to enhance the abilities of its location-based services and apps. The cell phone giant confirmed that both Google Maps and Skyhook will be able to live on the same device.

The Manual Deskterity from Microsoft Research project brings pen as well as touch computing together in a loner platform, making that partnership of sorts being a whole lot more energetic than they could ever be individually. Bear in mind that that is a research project, so the application is still rather limited in scope. Since there are already dual pen and touch display solutions and products in the market at point of publishing, it is a no-brainer to see that view catch on in the mainstream agency sometime in the near future.

This is still firmly in the rumor bin at the moment, but word is going around that the next generation iPhone and iPad could come with camera sensors from Omnivision. Considering that Apple is already in a partnership with said company, it wouldn’t be too much of a surprise whether they worked together again. The likely improvement would be the use of a 5-megapixel camera instead of the current 3-megapixel version. The sensor used might be Omnivision’s OV5650 sensor, which can offer the mandatory megapixel grunt, along with improved picture quality at higher resolutions, and the ability to deliver video greater than 480p. Hopefully that means that an iPad with a camera is plus on its way.

Want to manufacture a payment using your mobile phone and NFC (near field communications) but don’t have the feature built into your mobile phone? Well, the partnership among First notes and Tyfone might be able to offer you something. Using Tyfone’s SideTap card, they are able to come up with a microSD card that doubles up as a NFC payment device. In terms of the cost, there is good news as it apparently costs about the same as a regular memory card of the same capacity. With NFC being moved to memory cards instead of phones, phone manufacturers should have an easier day as they won’t have to concern about adding on the additional feature to phones, but consumers will still be able to get the feature whether desired, assuming the device uses a microSD card of course. These memory cards are slated to hit the market in the second half of 2010, and trials are scheduled to start somewhere in the middle of the year.

Comic publishing powerhouse Marvel has formed a partnership with RTC23, rolling out what they dub to be “the ultimate comic fan’s TV”. Coming in 22″, 32″, 42″ and 55″ LCD displays as well as 40″ and 46″ LED HDTVs, you will find Iron Man, Captain America, The Hulk, Wolverine, Thor and other loved characters located on the bottom corners of the frame. Not only that, whenever you turn the TV on, they will seem as a themed splash screen for 8 seconds before you get on with your show. Nothing precisely useful here, but it does keep grown up kids happy.

Saygus’ VPhone is tipped to be made available via Verizon Wireless, where it comes with a front facing camera which means 2-way video conferencing capability is confirmed. that news might additionally extend to something better, as both Verizon and Skype have additionally announced an official partnership which means the Saygus VPhone could very well support Skype video calls as well. Other specifications of the VPhone include a 3.5″ display at 800 x 600 resolution, a 800MHz processor, an integrated FM radio, 512MB RAM, a 5-megapixel camera and the Android 1.6 operating system. Internal memory can be augmented by an SDHC memory card just in case you are going to tote your collection of MP3s on it. You will be able to find your way around with the A-GPS E911 module inside. One thing that still bugs us though – we don’t know how much the VPhone will cost.

Casio just launched the Baby-G watch which focused on Earth Day not too enlarged ago, and now the company has come up with another model, in partnership with Pastry, a fashion make. The BG5601 looks very much like your classic 80’s watch, and will even come with a retro-finish, not to mention an urban look. The BG5601 seems to be doing its job rather well, so keep it up. that watch will come in a pink packaging, so you aren’t offered many choices in terms of buying that watch. Unfortunately that special edition Baby-G will not be available to the general public, and will only be given by Pastry to VIP customers and celebrities.

We are pretty surprised that it took that faraway for a stethoscope to go the way of hands-free headsets, picking up Bluetooth technology in the process. 3M ensures that happens by working with Zargis Medical, where their partnership resulted in the 3M Littmann Bluetooth Stethoscope. As the name implies, it increases the physician’s ability to get more out of an exam, boasting the capability of transfering recordings to a computer so that one can have a historical set of audio playback for future analysis, or perhaps even share selective sounds with colleagues for a second opinion. You get 24x sound amplification and proprietary Ambient Noise Reduction (ANR) Technology with each of the 3M Littmann Bluetooth Stethoscope, but it can’t be used to tune in to Lady Gaga’s latest on your iPod.
