iPad Location: 66215
Ebay Posting Date: 2010-10-01T01:45:41.000Z
iPad Description: Gently used Apple iPad (16GB) WiFi with CaseLogic Herringbone Case! I bought this iPad on May 25, 2010. I bought the Ipad because I enjoy Apple products. Turns out, I hardly ever use it (this is because I already own another computer and an IPod touch). It is in excellent and like new condition. I have kept it in the Case Logic Ipad case since day one. There are absolutely no scratches on the screen. There are a couple of purely cosmetic scratches on the corners from routine wear and tear (see pictures). My digital camera is very sensitive to dust, so if white dots appear to be on the Ipad, this is not the case. The screen is in absolutely perfect condition. This item operates like new, and has only been used for surfing the web, checking email, using the notebook function, listening to Pandora, and reading E-books on Kindle. You will hardly notice it was used. Throughout my ownership of this item, I only used .7GB of memory (so this item is basically new). It’s great for music, movies, internet, games and more. Can’t go wrong. Please review my feedback as I am a trustworthy (100% Positive) Ebayer. (Note – iPad will be reset to factory settings before shipping) (Also, this ipad is covered for hardware repairs and service under Apple’s One Year Warranty. The Expiration Date for this warranty is: May 25, 2011). Buyer will receive: Apple iPad (16GB WiFi) in its Original Box w/USB Cable and USB Power Adapter CaseLogic Ipad Herringbone Case (With much internal padding) http://www.caselogic.com/ipad_case_herringbone/product_detail/index.cfm?modelid=152253 Your item will be shipped promptly when payment is received and cleared by PayPal. All items will be packed properly in an appropriate box Shipping will be extra if I have to ship international. *Buyer must pay with PayPal AND within 5 days from the auction end date. On Oct-06-10 at 10:31:30 PDT, seller added the following information: ********Addendum********* I cannot find the original Ipad box. So the original box will not be included with this item. I will, however ship it in a box that is similar in shape and size to the original Ipad box.

Western Digital has just released a new update for its WD TV Live HD, making it the first networked media hub that is capable of recognizing Windows 7. that firmware patch will enable the WD TV Live HD to show up as a destination for Windows’ Play To feature, where you will next be able to choose subject matter from the computer instead of the hub, without having to load the media player first before a video, photo or music is loaded. Still, that doesn’t mean that support for virtually any format and features available before the update is applied will vanish, so you can breathe easy knowing that 1080p video and recognition of most common media formats are still there. You will need to control Web radio from Live365 or Pandora directly from the WD TV Live’s remote though. The WD TV Live HD retails for $150 and plays nice with Macs as well just in case you were wondering.

Ford has just announced SYNC AppLink, which is a downloadable software upgrade for Ford SYNC systems, which seem to be quite popular. The update offers hands-free voice control of popular applications for BlackBerry and Android devices. The first car from Ford to offer SYNC AppLink support will be the 2011 Fiesta, available later that summer. Applications that support SYNC AppLink include Pandora, Stitcher and OpenBeak. With everything in place, you can access and control your applications using voice and the in-dash car controls, instead of having to hook your phone to the car via a clunky cable. Ford has additionally launched its new Mobile Application Developer Network, in order to garner support from Android and BlackBerry developers, allowing them to include SYNC support for their applications. Would such features compose you want to buy a Ford by other qualitys? Check out a video of the Ford SYNC AppLink in action after the break.

Before that, Apple’s iPhone was the main target of users and reviewers who were complaining that it did not support full multitasking, meaning you couldn’t run third-party apps in the background. certain, you could listen to the music from the iPod app while composing an e mail, but you couldn’t listen to music from the Pandora app while composing an mail. Now it seems that Microsoft has decided that it might actually be the way to go, as the newly announced Windows Phone 7 Series will not support multitasking as well. The reason given is the same as the one offered by Apple – it drains batteries. It does sound like a valid reason, particularly since many Android and webOS users have complained about battery life before.

Fortunately Microsoft does have a workaround in place, as Windows Phone 7 series will support push notifications, allowing third-party apps to send updates and status messages to a phone’s home screen, even when the app isn’t running in the background, just like how the iPhone does it.

Do you think that Apple got it right, by not allowing background apps, or do you think that webOS and Android are on to something with full multitasking?

At enlarged last, the Pandora is out, and that calls for a instance of rejoicing with an unboxing image. We do wonder whether the Pandora will live up to its billing, or will it disappoint? Whatever the case is, at least that is not the hardware equivalent of Duke Nukem forever. Anyone of you out there who have already unboxed your Pandora? Let’s hope that opening up that box won’t introduce unknown elements to that world like its mythical namesake, eh? We do think that the Pandora does resemble the DS Lite a bit, particularly the top segment of the device.

[CES 2010] Too lazy to construct a camp fire so that everyone can sit around it while sharing ghost stories? The Energizer Solar Folding Lantern will come in handy soon after, as it can illuminate all around, albeit it does not give out heat like a standard fire would, rendering it useless to ward off nasty creatures whether you’re on Pandora at night. Good thing it can be powered by normal D-sized batteries as well as solar ability as an alternative. Even better news would be ambient lighting being able to juice up the device as well – now how about that for being cutting edge. The next thing you know, that thing would even come with its own built-in wind mill in the future.

[CES 2010] D-Link is back at CES with their Boxee Box Remote which boasts a full QWERTY keyboard right on the remote itself. Instead of being another point-and-click device, D-Link took a more radical step by introducing a QWERTY keyboard after listening to their customers instead of taking the hottest route – throwing in a multitouch display. Tipped to be released sometime in the first half of the year for not more than $200, it will be able to handle a slew of the most popular video formats including DivX, H.264 and MKV among others. Not only that, you are able to log on to a variety of online services including Pandora, Facebook, Twitter and Flickr. Of course, how can we rule out the Boxee app itself? Guess our thumbs are in a battle of getting more or less calloused as the rivalry within a physical QWERTY keyboard and a virtual one rages on in the world of consumer electronics.
