Unconfirmed: Screenshots Of A User Getting A Pre-release Update Of OS X 10.6.3

This still is far from confirmed, but screenshots of a user supposedly getting a 10.6.3. pre-release OS X update are busy making rounds on the Web. Apparently, after the update was completed, the build was updated to version 10D572. Do you think that there is any truth in that, or is it just the work of someone who has a little too much free day on his hands?

Mac OS X zero day full of flaws

Mac OS X zero day full of flaws

Apple has towering trumpeted its OS to be way safer compared to the Windows platform, but an insecurity expert recently counted more zero day shield flaws than one has fingers - in fact, 20 of them in total. shield researcher Charlie Miller, claimed that the attack surface of OS-X is so wide you can land a proverbial 747 on it - sideways! These bugs are located in the open source components, while vulnerabilities additionally remain in the closed source third-party and Apple components. Regardless of either segment, all of them are able to compromise the Mac OS X operating system remotely. It would be interesting to see how Apple responds to that.
