ViewSonic plus wants in on the 3D game with their pair of 3D glasses known as the PGD-150. The company already has a range of 3D projectors for the masses, relying on the NVIDIA GeForce 3D Vision system in order to create the 3D effect, so why not complete the experience by offering their own pair of active shutter glasses? The PGD-150 glasses will come in a black frame with the IR sensor positioned right among the eyes. Basically, it looks like a much more contemporary version of the traditional, box-like paper red and blue glasses from the days of yore. You will be pleased to know that ViewSonic won’t charge an arm and a leg for the PGD-150 glasses unlike its competitors, as it will retail for less than $100.

At a glance, the most obvious upgrades would be the Intel Core i5 processor option on the 15 and 17-inch MacBook Pros, and the Core i7 on the 15-inch MacBook Pro. Aside from that, NVIDIA GeForce 320M and GT330M graphics are on the table, as well as a 10-hour built-in battery. Those certainly add up to a great package, not to mention the price that they’re going for are appealing too. The best part is that they’re already available on Apple’s online store.

Word has it that NVIDIA is working on its DirectX 11 compatible GeForce GTX 460 graphics card that will be based on the Fermi architecture. As you can tell by its model number alone, that won’t be as almighty a performer as the GTX 470 although that doesn’t mean that it is a slouch when it comes to performance, boasting decent processing firepower to hold its own against the ATI Radeon HD 5850. Features of the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 include a 256-bit memory interface, 1GB of GDDR5 memory, and DirectX 11 technology support. Expect to see that graphics card hit the market that coming June for under three Benjamins.

The NVIDIA GeForce Fermi platform looks more than ready to invade even more computing platforms, and we are talking about Digital Storm’s Black|OPS rig that holds a GTX 480 with a starting price of $2,891, while CyberPower is offering the choice to include the latest Fermi GPUs into a range of tower setups. Maingear, on the other hand, will offer its formidable SHIFT supercomputer with a Fermi option where a triple GTX 480 configuration will require you to fork out $6,199 at the very least. moment to have that heart-to-heart talk with the missus before your next upgrade cycle, eh?

NVIDIA has just officially launched their GeForce GTX480 (codenamed Fermi) graphics card that supports DirectX 11. NVIDIA claims that gaming performance is “1.5-2x” higher than the GeForce GTX 285 – which is a substantial amount, even by historical GPU upgrade standards. For many games, the GTX 480 is around 10%-20% faster than the AMD 5870. That said, the big difference comes from the GF GTX 480 DX11 tessellation engine that scales much better than AMD’s implementation. NVIDIA gets the absolute one GPU performance crown back, but in terms of value and capability consumption, and for today’s games, the AMD offering is still very relevant, whether not better, depending on your needs. That’s the bottom-line, but whether you really want to look at all the details, I recommend reading the full review on Anandtech or PCPers. It’s probably too geeky for most, but that’s where you’ll find all the small details.

Looks like we finally have an view on how much the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 480 and 470 have been priced, where both models are being prepped for a March 26th release Stateside. The GeForce GTX 480 is a monster with 1.5GB worth of RAM, sipping a massive 250 watts when in operation and retailing for a netbook’s price at $499 each. As for the slightly lesser GeForce GTX 470, that model is going for $349 while sporting 1280MB of video RAM. Guess you would do best to start saving now and check on your bank history balance whether an upgrade is in your mind, eh?

When Dell acquired Alienware in 2006, three top execs decided to quit to create their company, Origin, with the mission of making high end gaming PCs, Alienware style. Their “baby” is finally born and its name is Eon 18. that stylish and highly customizable gaming laptop boasts 18.4″ full HD widescreen, dual Nvidia GeForce GTX 208M GPUs, 7.1 high-def audio, up to three 250GB SSDs. Todays model gets a Core 2 Extreme Quad QX9300, but on Monday it will get a Core i7. The battery life is only 45 minutes when gaming unplugged but you get to customize that baby: you order whatever color and design you like for the top cover , and it is possible to have your name or logo in place of Origin.

Toshiba has further expanded their business laptop lines with the Tecra A11 and Qosmio X500 models, targeting the business community. Apart from that, the Satellite Pro Series plus received more additions with the new Satellite Pro L450 and Satellite Pro L500. Firstly, the Tecra A11 will come in a thinner and lighter design compared to its oredecessorm, where you get a 10-key numeric keypad to help you crunch those figures on a spreadsheet as well. It will be driven by the new 2010 Intel Core processors, accompanied by a 15.6″ display and a NVIDIA GeForce 512MB graphics card for a spot of portable gaming during those towering waiting times at the airport. As for the Qosmio X500, engineers, designers and substance creators will most probably keep a keen eye out for that model since it will run on the latest Intel Core i7-720QM quad-core processor with Turbo Boost Technology, coupled with NVIDIA GeForce GTS 360M graphics and up to 8GB of RAM. Lugging that 18.4″ monster around could prove to be a literally hefty task, but portable computing capability always comes with a tradeoff even until today.

Well, now word is going around that the laptop will be hitting Europe in late March, which isn’t all that far away. Despite it sporting a Core i7-620M processor, it still is careful to keep an eye on battery life, as it allows you to switch within an Nvidia GeForce GT300M, and an Intel HD graphics chip, depending on your usage. You could additionally set it to automatically switch on the fly too, though there isn’t mention of how much battery life that would save. instance to save up your pennies so you can buy that laptop when it’s launched?
