Palm stops production of CDMA Pre and Pre Plus

Word has it that Palm has told Foxconn to stop all production of CDMA Pre and Pre Plus smartphones, which currently see action from Sprint and Verizon, respectively. that temporary suspension applies to the month of February only, and it seems that nobody else knows whether shipment will resume from March onwards. Other quarters claim that Palm has issued that directive not considering it is in trouble, but due to the Chinese New Year holidays. Do you buy that story from Palm?

T-Mobile New myTouch 3G with 3.5 mm Jack and Swype

T-Mobile unveiled its new iteration of the myTouch 3G, aka the 1.2, that features a 3.5 mm headset jack, additional memory with 288 MB of RAM and an 8 GB microSD card and Swype input technology, that provides, a faster text input on the touch screen. Swype offers a virtual keyboard that lets users drag their fingers across the keys to style a word, take a look at the Swype demo video whether you want to see how it works (in the full article). Additionally the new myTouch3G, will come with preloaded applications including Barcode Scanner, Music Player, myAccount and Visual Voicemail.

Chocolate HTC Hero Being Sent As Gifts In Russia

If you’re in Russia, you might be lucky decent to receive a gift from HTC – a HTC Hero. The only downside of that wonderful gift is that it’s wholly made out of chocolate, and thus, isn’t a functional phone. It’s obviously a promotional stunt, which is rather cute. The display reads “quietly brilliant new year”, so it’s probably some kind of New Year’s gift. It seems to be precisely the same size and shape as the real deal, which is quite cool. Android tablet takes a stab at unreleased iPad

The Apple iPad did garner quite a large amount of attention from everyone during its launch, but soon after again the initial excitement has died down. that Android-powered tablet does seem to be preparing itself to handle whatever the iPad offers to the market, boasting a 7" touchscreen display at 800 x 480 resolution while running on a 600MHz ARM9 processor. As with the Ramos W7 MID, it too, will run on Rockchip’s RK2808 chipset alongside a front-facing camera. There is still no word on pricing or availability, but it could very well reach in the China market before the month is by to coincide with the Lunar New Year holidays.
