Zhuo Nisi Technology has a spanking new 7″ netbook that will be powered by an ARM-based processor that runs at a clock speed of 1GHz which ought to be more than decent abundant for your everyday use. The display itself is touchscreen sensitive, allowing you to fold down by the keyboard to use it in a tablet anatomy factor whether that is your cup of tea. Just don’t expect it to be that versatile as a Windows-powered device, considering the Google Android operating system has yet to reach full maturity. Folks who are on a budget can always consider the standard netbook version that lacks touchscreen capability. Do you think devices like these will ever see the light Stateside, or will they remain a China specialty?

HP took the tried and tested route of introducing a new design for their HP Mini 210 netbook, where it will come in preppy pink and white crystal options. The former will sport a pink, plaid-like design with HP Imprint 3-D, touted to be the industry’s first 3-D PC surface technology. Many layers on both top and bottom covers ensure the design looks as though it floats on the surface while casting shadows onto lower layers under the right lighting conditions. Apart from that, the HP ClickPad that comes with the Mini 210 will plus sport a preppy pink finish and tiny cupcake Imprint at the bottom of the unit. Expect that visually revamped HP Mini 210 to hit the markets Stateside that June for approximately $355. Any takers?
While technical details of the upcoming Eee PC 1201K and 1202X haven’t been revealed yet, leaked pictures from the product manual have surfaced, giving us a rough notion of what these notebooks will look like when they’re released. The Eee PC 1201X seems to share the same chassis design as the Eee PC 1201T, though it isn’t clear whether it will continue to use an AMD chipset. The design does show that there will be no HDMI port on it, though. Details of the 1201K are even less, but the strange thing is that there doesn’t seem to be any access panel at the bottom of the computer, which would form upgrading components such as the RAM a lot more troublesome. Are you shopping around for a new netbook at the moment?

Just ahead of the first Formula 1 Grand Prix season 2010 Acer has updated its Ferrari One netbook. Perfect timing, perfect badge on the hood. Updates, however, are not what you’d shout Ferrariish or even Acer Aspire Oneish. Recently we covered announcement of Aspire One AO 532-h and we liked it. Obviously, considering of the sponsorship particularities, Ferrari netbooks must have an AMD processor, so upgrading to Intel Atom N450 is no the case. But all the rest could and should be revamped. I’m afraid latest FO200-15 has only had its HDD replaced with an 500GB unit and that’s it. Available in a week in Japan for price equivalent to $800.

What do you do whether you are not among world’s major manufacturers but you have desire and ability to form something competitive on the market? Onkyo has picked up one of the all-time good solutions for its MX1007A4 netbook coming out in Japan next week – made one feature noticeable among all the others. that has 14.4 hours of battery life and no, it doesn’t weight a ton. In fact it’s barely by a kilo – 1.16kg (2.56lbs) to be precise. At that point I’m guessing that battery life that lengthy is achieved not by a huge battery in first place, but by very economic capability management. Which means the MX1007A4 does not have too many features to play with. I can’t blame Onkyo’s latest netbook for that. I think it makes perfect sense and featurelessness to it will construct it cheap plus. Mind you though that MX1007A4 has just abundant of everything for everyday life. Check out specs we have scraped up together structure Japanese press release.

Turns out that everybody wants to emulate Apple with its App Store success and next up HP has announced the launch of its HP Download Store which aims to produce things easier for netbook users without a CD-ROM drive, though it’ll work fine for your incredibly-specced gaming desktop as well. The store offers a place for users to buy software online, and while it might be a tad more expensive that other places, the apps are re-downloadable for up to two years, which makes it seem like a better deal. There is currently a promotional cipher on the site offering you a $20 reduction until the end of May.
