The benefit of Ricoh’s GXR camera is obviously its ability to swap lenses, though the selection obviously isn’t as abundant as DSLR cameras. Now Ricoh has announced its P10 telephoto-ranged lens for the camera. The P10 is a 10-megapixel 28-300mm f3.5-5.6 lens. Aside from that, you additionally get 720p video recording and continual RAW shooting at 5 fps. Ricoh hasn’t announced the price or shipping period for the P10, but whether you’re shopping around for the GXR camera, you can expect to pay about $550 for the body.

G.Skill universal has a spanking new Phoenix SATA II 2.5-inch SSD for the mass market, where you can choose from some rather strange denominations when it comes to total amount of storage space – we’re talking about 50GB, 100GB or 200GB capacities, where they will all feature the SandForce SF-1200 controller which is capable of hitting 280MB/s read and 270MB/s write speeds. Each purchase will be accompanied by a 2-year warranty, although we do not have any data on pricing and availability. Just in case you were wondering whether hard drives will get obsolete, companies are looking at 900GB models in the near future, so for those who don’t mind some noise coming out of their computers when info is being accessed, soon after you can always give the SSD camp a miss. [Press Release]

The Olympus PEN EP-2 has just gotten behind a dark cloud, simply considering it now comes with a silver lining. Heh, pardon the poor pun, but at least silver is a much brighter option compared to traditional black. The new color is the only cosmetic change, since everything else within remains the same as the standard drab black-colored Olympus PEN EP-2, where it will reach at shops in Europe from the middle of that month onwards together with a M.Zuiko Digitial ED 14-42mm 1:3.5-5.6 lens for €799. Do color choices in a digital camera really influence your purchase decision?

It’s hard to imagine that last year we had barely a whiff of a tablet device and that year you can’t seem to walk into a store that isn’t trying to shove some sort of tablet device down your throat. Next up in the oh-so-crowded tablet universe is the Mastone Lifepad 3G. In terms of specifications it’s certainly impressive, offering a 1GHz Freescale processor, 512MB of RAM, a 3G module and Google’s Android 2.1 OS. That being said, it takes more than just raw hardware potential to manufacture a device successful, and we’re looking forward to see what that tablet can do to set it apart from the rest of the pack.

So Thanko came up with a Bluetooth-capable timepiece that connects to your cellphone, functioning as a hands-free device. Chinavasion goes one up with the Assassin Watch Phone – that quad-band watch phone comes with a touchscreen display as well as multimedia playback capability, although we don’t think you would appreciate watching Avatar on such a tiny 1.3″ display. Still, it sports an integrated digital camera, a Bluetooth connection, a miniSD memory card slot for expansion functions and an integrated FM radio. whether you’re interested, do be prepared to part with $130 for that puppy. Looks like phone watches are set to be a niche market for a expanded day, since it isn’t all that practical no matter how many features you cram inside.

Apple has reported earlier today that it has sold one million iPad in 28 days, comparing that with the 74 days that it took to sell a million iPhones. Earlier that month, Apple has delayed the worldly launch, citing supply constraints.

For certain, the device has been selling much better than skeptics had predicted and overall, it is a very interesting device (read our iPad review), but it additionally arrives in a much different world than the one in which the original iPhone was born: there are now tens of thousands of apps, and the eco-system is much bigger than it used to be next. Of course, selling that many iPad is very impressive, and looking at how lucrative the black market is (I saw a lot of iPads selling for about 2x the price in Hong Kong) I can predict that the universal launch is likely to be a success as well.

Last week’s chatter about the imminent release of the black Nintendo Wii was spot on. The $199.99 price has been announced by resellers and has since been confirmed by Nintendo. The Black Wii will come with Wii Sports Resort and a Wii MotionPlus accessory (for games like archery) – that is like a 20% accessory + game bonus. Note that the bundles will additionally be available with the white Wii, starting on May 9th. It was about date for the black Wii to come out, as we spotted them a while ago in Japan. Are you more interested by the color, or by the bundle?
