We all love to see the disc spinning while we’re playing the latest CD that we bought from the store, but the Sonic Emotional Pulse Of Music concept player looks to take that love one step further. Why look at your disc spinning through a plastic case, when you can have half of it exposed for everybody to see? Sony has announced a few new headsets, namely the DR-EX300iP, MDR-EX38iP, and MDR-E10iP. All of these headsets offer in-line remote controls, which will be a boon to the many iPod/iPhone users out there, since you’ll be able to access the commonly used functions easily, without having to pull out your music player. The built-in microphone additionally lets iPhone users chat hands-free. The headsets offer either 9mm or 13mm Neodymium drivers, and a choice of different colors, offering you good sound quality and the choice of colors. The DV-V150iP headphones that were announced are apparently “tailor-made for DJs”, and offer the same in-line controls and mic, but sport a 30mm ferrite driver, promising deep bass and generous potential handling. Currently only the MDR-EX38iP is available (at $40), while the other models are due out in May.

Both LG and Alcatel are working on dual SIM slots on their upcoming GX500 and C60 handsets, respectively. It is reported that the LG GX500 will be another elegant touchscreen phone to join their stable, being the third dual SIM phone from the South Korean manufacturer, where it will carry Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, a built-in music player, an integrated FM radio, a 3-megapixel camera and a 3″ WQVGA display. As for the Alcatel C60 as seen above, that is a basic candybar phone. No view pricing or availability for either handset.

Made from stainless steel, it will plus have a touch of luxury with large sapphire crystal plates and 24K gold wrapping its exterior. Heck, even the handset’s keys are additionally made out of sapphire crystal hand-painted with gold. No view on pricing, but that is a classic case of “if you have to ask…”

[CES 2010] With its 5.7” touch display (capacitive) and its nice design, the Sensia would look great in a contemporary home. Its touch interface can be used to choose many music sources, from a home server, an Net radio and more. There are plus apps to check and update status in social networks like Facebook or Twitter – that sounds like a great device for the Web 2.0 Silicon Valley crowd… That said, it is lost a sensor to dim the light at night, and small details like that are crucial for a potential $349 alarm clock. Of course, that’s not how Pure positions it – it’s really a cool web radio/music player - but after being sleep depraved during that pre-CES period, cool alarm clocks have become somewhat of a fantasy.
