Teclast has introduced its latest C520 portable media player which will be yet another full HD-capable device. You will be able to view your downloaded movies on its 5″ display, where it supports a wide range of codecs including VC-1, MKV, TS, AVI, RM, RMVB, 3GP, DAT, FLV, MP4, MPG, VOB, MKV and MOV videos. For those who are into music, expect that model to play nice with MP3, AAC, WMA, FLAC and APE audio file formats. Strangely ample, there is no HDMI port to help that be a true blue full HD device, making it rather pointless to watch full HD movies on a small 5″ display.

Itoos wants to flood the portable media player market with yet another device from their stable, the M8HDP which is more than capable of handling full High Definition resolution, since it touts a purported 1280p support from its 5″ display at 800 x 480 resolution. As with many other traditional Chinese portable media players, that one is able to handle a plethora of codecs such as H.264, MPEG-2, VC-1, RM/RMVB, MKV, MOV, TS, AVI, MPG, M2TS, M4V, PMP, MP4, 3GP, VOB and DAT without lost a beat. Strangely ample, that model lacks a HDMI port which could be a sore point with interested parties. No notion on pricing or availability as at press moment though.

Baidu Digital’s B618 portable media player boasts something that is lost from the others – it comes with a dual core processor, although so much processing horsepower underneath the hood certainly makes us wonder whether that is overkill or not. Still, that ought to supply abundant juice for smooth delivery of 720p video playback alongside support for a wide range of codecs including H.264 (High Profile /Main Profile), Real 8/9/10, WMV7/8/9, MPEG1/2/4, DivX3/4/5, Xvid, H.263, compatibility with RM, RMVB, AVI, MKV, WMV, MP4, 3GP, MPG, MPEG video formats and MP3, WMA, APE, FLAC audio formats. No notion on pricing, but that little PMP that could will hit the Chinese market in a few days’ date.

The Touch Viva portable media player is no iPod, but it comes with a 4.3″ touchscreen display at 800 x 480 resolution alongside 720p video playback for those who are into High Definition (HD) video. Apart from that, H.264 encoding is plus supported alongside AVI, RM, RMVB, MP4, MOV, VOB, DAT, FLV, 3GP and other major video formats. There is no HDMI output for you to enjoy your HD videos on a HDTV, so you’ll have to settle for Standard Definition quality instead with its TV out port. Unfortunately, we know not of the price and availability at the moment.
