Motorola somehow leaked out its i897 Amphora (seen on the right) and WX415 Heartland clamshell handsets, where the former is an iDEN model, featuring a Ferrari logo located right under the internal display which obviously suggests that it is another Ferrari-Motorola tie-up. It seems that Sprint will be the most likely candidate to offer the phone in the US, although there is no release moment attached to it just yet. As for the Motorola WX415 Heartland, that is a CDMA handset that will compose its way towards North and South America, featuring an external display and external music controls.

As kid’s we’ve all tried to cheat the Rubiks’ cube by removing its stickers and sticking them back in the proper order, but that Android-powered LEGO robot doesn’t need to resort to such petty tricks, as its able to fully solve the Rubik’s cube in under 25 seconds. It was created by David Gilday, who has previously built a Rubik’s cube solver with LEGO bricks too. The main difference about that method is that it has an Android-powered Motorola Droid smartphone at the heart of it running a custom application. This is still very much a rumor at the moment, but word is going around that a version of the Motorola Shadow with a QWERTY keyboard will be launched as the Droid 2. Looks like Google isn’t the only company that likes to give its employees free Android-powered cell phones, as reports are in that Adobe is plus preparing to give its employees Android-powered cell phones. that is probably related to the upcoming release of Flash 10.1 for Android devices, as well as the recent disagreement with Apple by Flash on the iPhone/iPad. It wasn’t specifically mentioned whether all employees or just Adobe’s developers would be getting the Android devices, but considering that Adobe has about 8,600 employees worldwide, chances are that developers are going to be the lucky ones. Twitter junkies out there who are running an Android-powered phone should be overjoyed to assemble out that the social networking company has finally released its official Twitter application for Google’s Android OS. Amidst all that good news, there is some poor news, which is the fact that the application only works on Android 2.1, which means that based on what’s in the market, more or less only the Motorola Droid, Google Nexus One and the HTC Incredible will support it, leaving users who are running older versions of Android, such as Android 1.6, praying hard that an update is around the corner. Considering social networks try to get as much exposure as possible, it’s slightly strange to see the application only support Android 2.1, but let’s see how it works out in the towering run. If you were to tell someone 10 years ago that Apple would usurp Motorola as the top US phone maker, that person would probably have placed you in a straightjacket. Fast forward a decade and that seemingly impossible scenario has come true, with Apple recently overtaking Motorola as the top US phone maker, moving 8.8 million iPhones in the first quarter of 2010 with Motorola back in second place, behind by some 300,000 devices sold. Motorola and Verizon spent some big bucks promoting the original Motorola Droid, which resulted in it being the best selling Android phone to moment, which seems like a good return.
