C-motech separable wireless router
January 27, 2010

The wireless router has been around for years, but C-motech decided to reinvent the proverbial wheel by introducing the separable wireless router in Korea. Simply known as the Bridge (CMR-100S), that device allows several users to connect to it simultaneously, where each user can connect to the Net via WCDMA or WiBro, essentially covering the whole of South Korea using but a singled-out device. Perhaps in a country with varying networks available, a device like the Bridge would come in handy, but how about modifying it for Stateside use where it works on GSM and CDMA?

C-motech dual-mode USB modem
December 28, 2009

C-motech's dual-mode USB modem, known as the CBU-450D, does not only do HSUPA but WiBro in South Korea as well. Being highly portable with its 92.7mm × 33.4mm × 12.2mm measurement at 43 grams, the CBU-450D is able to accommodate a maximum download speed of 7.2Mbps and a maximum upload speed of 5.76Mbps in HSUPA mode, while WiBro will see it hit 33Mbps download and 5.2Mbps upload speeds. Supported operating systems are all Windows-based, which means anything other than Windows 7, Vista or XP won't work.

C-Motech Windows Mobile 6.5 Tablet
November 23, 2009
Netbooknews.com has published a video of an interesting Tablet from C-Motech that is running on Windows Mobile 6.5. It uses the SnapDragon platform from Qualcomm (1Ghz processor, 1GB RAM, SSD) so the graphics seem to be really fluid. Other than the 7" display (super reflective!) it should be like other Winmo 6.5 devices. In the video, the author mentions that it "feels better than the Archos 9 (that runs Win7) - not poor!
